Hello! I would like to use non alphanumeric symbols in my name, like -_./!@#$%^&*()=+[]\{}|<>?;':", Characters would be cool too.
It'd fit in with lore because everyone is immortal. With everyone reproducing and no one dying we'll run out of names too quickly using only letters and numbers. Unless, of course, CCP neutered us.

There is plenty of reproducing actually. Who said you can't reproduce?? Plenty of capsuleers in lore that do it or have done it. Plus, you have trillions of people in New Eden who are not capsuleers or immortals. And they seem to be doing just fine. |

Although I haven't used such symbols in any of my character names, I see your point. It can help a player's creativity whenever new colors are added to the palette. About immortality: Only a select few are immortal, and there's a *kitten* galaxy full of temperate-class planets to inhabit. We aren't running out of space anytime soon, and there's probably billions of mortal citizens with a given name running around in the Dodixie system alone.
A few things are in your suggestion's way however.

That's all. Trolls will always find a way to be trolls anyway, and CCP can always come up with a lore excuse to allow the special characters into a capsuleer's / Templar-type merc's name. I really don't see a big problem here. |

It would add more variety to names and it would be great. Someone could make a name like C++, /kill, 'less than sign'User_name'greater than sign', (>^-^)>, and more. If you're afraid of people having vulgar names, people already have some vulgar names now and nothing really can stop people from making names you don't like such as Come H0nor Face. |
