It's one of the new maps and it's really unfare, and I'm serious to.
It's unfare in Skirmish, see their MCC is much closer to the objectives than the other teams. I'M NOT LYING. Now upon first glimpse you may assume that they are the same distance but you must consider THE GIANT MOUNTAIN that the unlucky team that is on that side has to cross before they can get to any of the objectives.
I don't know what map it is, I know there's 4 points, there's 2 mountains on one side. The other mcc is pretty much a long flat run to the objectives while the other side has to clamber over 2.
I'm not asking for pitty and i'm not complaining, just wondering if anyone else noticed this. and to prove it! in the last game I played there, The enemy took the objective closest to us, fully took it, before we got there.
again just wondering, anyone else notice this? |

May I suggest looking in the Map Feedback forums in order to determine which map it was? That would clarify it for us. Anyhow, I don't remember playing on any map where enemy can simply seize the closest objective to you. Maybe your teammates weren't just going for it, or the opponents used a super fast LAV to get there. |

and I'm not sure how they got there, I know we had like 6 people taking a turret that was in a dumb spot lol. |

Wait... so your telling me in order to have a fighting chance on that map, on that side, I need to create an all new class? that's not me though. I'm a logi specializing in hacking.
and one of my squad mates had a scout drop on, and has his vigor, mobility and all that so high he did sprint all the way there and made it there just as another squad did.
than again I seem to get on squads that don't know how to fight lol.
thanks for the help though, maybe I should invest a bit into speed. |

This Phenomenon you describe is called the toomanyheavydropsuitsonthefield Phenomenon. Notice the absolute lack of speed if the heavy suit in comparison to the scout suit. the scout suit is fully capable, in skilled or even marginally skilled hands, of traversing the battlefield from one end to another in under a minute, and are frequently deployed in packs at the early stages of a map in order to landgrab and hack objectives rapidly. further, they will often wait just at an objective you are about to hack so they can point blank your teammates with a plasma shotgun, allowing them to take the point uncontested.
In the initial phase of a battle speed, not firepower, determines which side holds the initial advantage. Once you have all the points it becomes trivial to reinforce said locations with tryhards directly spawning on the map to push you back to the redline.
Further, the unfairness quotient you have noted is there. But it is also covered under the lifeisnotfair,savvy? phenomenon. This is the quotient that tells you that you need to Hulk The F**K Up (HTFU for the layman)
Further, the analysis of the quality of this rambling, silly post is that it was concocted by a person posting on an alt, deliberately behaving with literary incompetence and an inability to measure up to the title of TryHard at even the basic level. This trolling OP is hereby awarded 2/10 for effort.
TL;DR version: Learn tactics and try to operate with a team instead of thinking you're Rambo, the Special Snowflake. |

I thought the new Manus Peak was a bit one sided too but I've seen both sides redlined at various times. Now I think the situation is different for each side but they both have their strengths. The northern side is closer to the objectives but the southern side is better protected and can recover from redlining easier.
Since you are a hacking logistics you should have a Logistics Type-II suit fit for speed and endurance ready for this kind of situation. Manus almost requires an LAV as well. You can go free or use a standard LAV with speed mods to be even faster. |

I don't play lonewolf, I play as a team, it's usually the idiots on my team who prefer to t-bag and shoot which ever blue dot is in the turret. I don't play as a heavy. I attempt to use team work but no one else co-operates with me...

then your problem would stem from being unlucky enough to be in-team with complete idiots. This is not a problem with the game itself, it is a problem endemic to FPS games in general. If all other explanations fail? Examine your tactics, then examine the idiots around you for intelligence. if there is no intelligence to be found, it's time to swap to a freebie fit. |

Manus Peak's current skirmish is unbalanced. There's no way around it. It's just another example of poor level design that CCP seems to be prone to with this game.

More of a scenario test than poor level design.
Edit: to elaborate on this, you can't exactly take the randomly generated maps we'll have, with player controlled MCCs, than call it poor level design when someone puts an MCC in a really stupid place. |

It's poor level design to have a pub map be one-sided. It'd be a "scenario test" if it were a corp battle map, but to force you to randomly play it by simply trying to play the game normally, it's poor level design. |

And what rule book says war is fair??? I think having off the wall unbalance maps is a good thing. If one side can figure out a tactic to control the situation then all the more power to them. |

Yep, I found that while my team usually loses when I'm on the south team, I personally prosper as far as WP and placing on my team- everyone seems to ignore everything far enough behind the frontlines, which means hack farming and killing snipers is a breeze. |

This is easy to do. Have one player with an SSD spawn in and order an LAV. By the time your teammates have shown up the LAV will be there and you can get to any point faster than the enemy unless they use similar tactics. |
