When the beta opens up (soon, apparently), I'll be looking for a new corp that fits me better (nothing against the corp I'm in, but they just don't fit my play style) This thread could potentially be used for other players who are also searching for a corp, and it would be very helpful if people would post how their corp fits what people here are looking for, or how they're slightly different.
The corp I'm looking for:
- Is semi-hardcore (Doesn't require people to be on all the time, but isn't exactly inactive)
- Sees their play style as "vehicles supported by infantry" rather than "infantry supported by vehicles"
- Prefers skirmish over ambush
- Is interested in getting involved in the eve universe, rather than just being another FPS clan
- Doesn't have a required preference towards what to use (No corps that require the use of whatever is OP atm)
- DOES try to group people by role (Just lets people know when they need a counter-sniper, medic, etc in their squad)
If you have any planned or set connections to alliances, please let me know, along with any other information you see fit to add. |

Then I think you're looking for Shadow Mercenary Corp. Just like you I was looking for a Corp that would be a good semi-hardcore team. Open team chat, mic if ya got it but not essential. SMCIn its looking for mercs to fill all rolls on the battlefield. Any good commander knows what to outfit a squad with, where to push, when to fall back and especially that vehicles need infantry support. We have good leadership here. I think you'll find us a perfect fit. Search SMCIn on DUST and head over to smci.enjin.com. |

Great leaders, great comrades, opportunity to make amazing friends.
The corp is very flexible with many allies to play with as well. |

Your name seems familiar, but I don't remember if it is good or bad. How well do you play?

Some maps are bad for certain vehicles, and sometimes there may be an advantage to not running a proto tank at all. You also might have infantry support a tank which is supporting other infantry. Vehicles supported by vehicles is also good too. It's situational.
Sometimes it's best to change tactics instead of load-outs. Forcing someone to perform a role that they are not great at doesn't always work well. For instance, everyone can be a militia sniper, but it's probably not a good idea to remove one of your teammates to go militia sniper vs proto scopes. Same thing goes for proto vs militia tanks!
Personally, I like corp battles. I'd look at The War Room for corps that I'd like to join. IMO a corp that doesn't do corp battles isn't an active corp. You don't need to be in a corp just to queue with friends for PUGs. I'm sure you could just tell a few peeps in a corp that you're thinking about applying, but want to play some games with them. If you apply to a corp you'll be playing games with them anyways.
Trial periods are a two way relationship. A trial lets other corp members see if you fit in with them, but it also allows the person on the trial to find out if the corp is a place he'd like to stay. Some corps aren't openly recruiting, but if a corp has a recruitment thread up, I'd be surprised if you were turned down for asking to play some games with people from the corp to see how it works out. |

MSF sounds like what your looking for. We dont have quite the vehicle presence we would like to have ATM but otherwise we fit your build for a corp.
