Well I can say the tourny was a real eye opener for me personaly and I know I have a way to go getting my own personal skills up.

Right now I have about 4 months FPS experiance but I'll keep on working at it. Dont worry you will get some fights from us.

Think our next big challange will be SYN, PFB and Red Star who are all looking like a good fight.

So far we have only had 26 corp battles and will keep tucking em under our belts and see if we can one day make it past scrub status.

I have one beef though, the difference for me when playing in EU primetime and late at night is enormous. Yesterday I played for 2 hours after midnight and my KDR dropped 0.02 down. Say what you want, I do have the occational bad game, but I don't average a 2 KDR over 2 hours in pub matches, that doesnt happen unless something is off or Im drunk, which I wasn't. I dunno how the effect will be with EU vs US. In the tourny when I was one of the few euros in a US vs US battle the latency was horrific. I got one shotted by ARs several times. (And it was perfectly clear that none of you used modded controllers on the TACs, just to be clear.)

We should set up an infantry only battle, this would be no matter what the outcome is a great learning experience for us. If we lose we lose, I guess most people would expect that. But if we acrually win...




And I do have to add some QQ. Last time I checked EU servers are trash with the players. I have to say the US servers are like the PRO's, while the EU servers are Minor League. Like seriously my 5 year old cousin could have 10 KDR on the EU servers. That's saying something.

Ok, firstly, trying to say we are immature and whatnot simply b/c we are/have americans in our corp is pretty trashy to say the least; as you even called out Dark on his topic/post so what does that say about him/you/Euros?

From what i remember, this started a lot during the tourny. When topics were made it seems like other corps said who'd win, etc; yet we stayed silent and let people talk. Once the finals ended and how things went, Dark seemed to make lots of jabs (yet Sha was polite, as were others).

Things are also edgy b/c topics/posts we make are always cried about from dark. He doesnt simply disagree (which is fine), but brings the fact that we are IMPS into the reasoning, so at that point it becomes an attack. When ARs had camera removed he made a topic saying he bets the imps will cry & struggle that they cant use ars (this is paraphrased).

So yes, there is some bad blood, yet we dont antagonize, we simply rebuttal.

First off, some of you have been asking for getting the old ARs back, even though the new mechanics is a lot better and actually require some skill.

In regards to the AR mechanics, CCP should have added ironsights as an OPTION. The Camera sights should still be in the game.

Right about these iron sights. Not played any other FPS games but I hate these ones. Only experience I have with iron sights is from RL and these look like pistol iron sights to me. Not cool.

They basically copied them from the Mp7 in Mw3 and Bo2, however in CoD they are much smaller. Pretty decent design they just need to be smaller/cleaner.

Allright to proof that SI are not just vehicle scrubs we played against WTF and won by miles and allmost managed to deplete their clone reserves (18 clones left on their side ~80 on our). Our MCC had at the end still ~70% armor left over. Every 1 from WTF went negative except 1 guy. Well they begged so hard for a corp match and they got what they payd for. A pure infantry only match.

PS: Corp match requests are open for buisness except for the Impotents. (they will be forever alone fighting nobody)

Well you wanted so desperetly a corp match against us and you got what you looked for. Its more interesting that imperfects replied massive to this topic instead of WTF. And IF we ever have a corp match against the imperfects then we set the contract up and dictate the time. This way we play on the EU server and have most of our people online. Additional vehicle restrictions can be discussed aswell.

We put 1M contracts all the afternoon on Sunday. I stated it here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=49679&find=unread, and on the 2 pub chan I'm in : SI and MAPHIA (PFBHz was empty) I begun at 14h30 EVE time, I took one every half hour, and you SI just accepted it at 16h23 EVE time...

The way I saw this 1M contract Corp Battle day was this : take the first 8 entering the game, and let's make 1, 2 and maybe more games with only your corp against other corps (well, without randoms).

I had to put SOOOOO many tears an trolling feeds on your pub chan to make you accept a 1M contract. You are just afraid to loose against us if you're not prepare. I can easyly imagine you preparing your squads, your fits, well my balls on your noze !!!!

Things are sure. SI really understood the RGP part of this FPS (and today, I put the RPG in front of the FPS). You have really good tactics already in place to face different situations, really good teamplay, and Big Popa is SOOOOOO A-MA-ZING !!!! And obviously, we weren't prepare enough as you were. Well, the thing is I'd like to play more against you.

The games SyNergy played against wtf, i did not experience any lag, only a little bit at the end of the 3rd match.
I am from the Netherlands and i do not even notice the difference between an 'usa' server or an 'eu' server.

good games overall against wtf, it was fun to have a good battle for once.

Do you guys have other things to be proud of except for videogame skill ? If not, that's just sad.
Oh and just a quick reminder to US players still jerking themselves about MAG. Lag was crazy on that game. Watching US capture of a game and the a EU one made it obvious in every way one can imagine.

Problem is, that Dust is on the path to have the very same problem... 3 games were played against SyN and the lag made the thing almost unplayable : bullets registering seconds after the shots, every sounds delayed by a few seconds, own chars moving while standing still etc... I really hope they find a solution to this or the single shard experience is going to be very frustrating.

But if i tell you the lag was tremendous, it's because it was....
When you char moves with a delay, or move when you dont ask anything ? When you shoot a guy point blank with a SG, see him move, then drop dead to only get +50WP like 5 seconds later ? Or when you SG a dude in the back while he's hacking TWO TIMES before he even receives damage and drop dead ? When you drop an uplink and your guys have to wait 10 seconds to see it on their overview maps ? When you fire rockets at a LAV, see them crash into it and the lav run for another 10 m before exploding ? When you dont see anyone and receive bullets to only then see the guy come round the corner ?

I call that a very laggy game. Wich is even worse when the game was actually fun. Can't say about the two previous ones as i wasnt there but a lot complained about the same kind of issues. At the point that they even didnt want to do the third game and i had to push them.

Now, i dont know about internet connection but mine is pretty solid as i live inside Paris and near the phone installation (less than 500m)

That sounds like you were the one benefitting from the lag.

i play with my EU guys and never experience these unplayable games but if it was indeed such a srs problem then maybe CCP needs to look at optimizing their servers for french connections cuz UK and Dutch seem ok

I think people in general on dust are way too sensitive. There is a certain level of disdain or dislike that goes a long way with competition. If the imperfects beat their chest about how sweet they are and no one tries to shut them up in game, what do you honestly expect from them? Do I agree with it, not completely, trolling for trolling sake isn't productive, but if it adds to the desire to beat us then it is good.
I honestly don't know how it will all go down in the next couple of months, but it is only a beta, the talent pool is very shallow, do I think we have some of the best? Yes, but we have only seen a small portion of the people who will actually play.

If you ever want anyone else to respect you as players you have a lot to learn.

We dont have the same definition of benefit then.... The enemy registering damage later than he's supposed to and dealing his before you even have him on your screen doesnt rime with benefit to me.
