I often find that against decent enemies, you die faster in a heavy suit than anything else. A decent heavy has about 930HP in total.
Correct me if any of my maths is wrong :P I assume weaponry lv 5 and max shield/armour skills on both cases
Best case scenario:
Entry level assault rifle does 426.25 DPS. If he hits every shot on the heavy it will take 2.18 seconds to drop him. I'm gonna assume he hits 70% off his shots so it takes 3.12s to kill the heavy.
Worst case scenario(ish): Duvolle with ar proficiency 5 and a 10% wep upgrade. This does 575dps =O. it will take 1.6 seconds to kill him if you don't miss, 2.31 if you hit 70%.
Now for assault, I don't know about you, but I'm not the greatest shot, I reckon I only hit 50% on them, if that.
Lets call the assaults health base 412.5, with at least 1 Proto shield extender that's gonna be 479hp.
Best case: It takes 2.32s, missing 50% of shots.
Worst case: It takes 1.7s.
I don't know whether I'm being generous or not with the 50% hit rate, but with entry level guns vs maxed suits the heavy lives about 34% longer than an assault in a statistical fight. With maxed guns he lives 35.8% longer.
I personally think the heavy needs an edge. I haven't even mentioned head shots, it's a lot easier to burst a heavies brain than an assault...
Thoughts? Criticisms? (Hopefully not corrections :P) |

I love you for mathematically backing what i've been saying for at least 4-5 months now :,D

Why? An average player's accuracy in an FPS is probably in the realm of 20%, if not lower.
Doesn't change the % difference between your best/worst case examples, but you don't have heavies dying in 2 seconds. |

I like to think most people can hit a heavy pretty consistently. I think average accuracy on dust should be a bit higher than on other fps's like Call of duty simply because targets are more diverse, guns more accurate, and less spray and pray. (For most weps anyway) |

Considering our hitbox is bigger you'd have to have pretty poor aim to miss us. |
