Open beta / release / move to tranquility server ... all this may happen at the same time but reset may be needed for each if done separately.
As for when ... who knows ! couple of months from now maybe. |

Move to tranquility is release ... TQ is the server Eve runs on, right now we're on Singularity (Sisi) which is the Eve test server ... moving to TQ is when we are released into New Eden proper.
The other release is open beta when anyone with a PSN can download DUST ... this will require a reset to be fair on new players.
Next build will probably see open beta and the last reset ... I guess there may be a settling in time before everything is copied and pasted to TQ in an extended downtime. Just to make sure it is stable before it affects their subscription game Eve.
My best guess anyway. |

I don't think a reset is needed to keep it fair, as there will be so many new players at open beta that us vets will be the minority. We won't overpower every match - you won't have multiple squads out there of organized corps. Also, if the matchmaking system works better in the next release, we may not even see the new players very often in random matches.
If I am not mistaken, CCP has also said that the only other wipe will be at move to TQ. I could be wrong, but I don't think Eve has the necessary infrastructure in place yet to support OB mechanics. If this is correct, then we are looking at the summer expansion of Eve before Dust moves to TQ. If anyone knows differently, please let me know.

This is what is being tested on Sisi ... both DUST and Eve ... the orbital mechanics are already in place and being tested and used. The move to TQ will be a copy and paste of the DUST build and a patch of the Eve client to that which is already on Sisi and integrated with DUST already. |
