Well the equipment does kinda play into effect as far as everything else goes as far as what you can afford to fit for CPU/PG. What DS are you using? |

DS=Dropsuit. BTW there are way too many logi threads here. DS=Dropship. Depends on the context |

Equip matters most as a Logi. Get to three equip slots. Hive, Repair, Injector for most runs. Hive, DropLink and other when needed. Maybe even Hive, DropLink, Explosives.
Get the low cost Blue Print versions of Militia Gear, unless hopefully, you are already past them. Otherwise, use them.
Low Power modules depend on the CPU/PG and LP slots. Same goes for High Power.
Tweak with Power Grid Upgrades, CPU Enhancements as needed. Have some free Stanima or Kinetic mods, put them in LP and run.
Shields getting stripped too often, Shield Expanders, Shield Regens and Resist in HP slots. Armor getting hit but no love from other Logis? Armor Repairer on LP side. Armor plates are nice but slow you down.
Have some juice left over but haven't added System Hacking as a skill yet? A Militia Hack will get you 10% boost for 30 AUR forever ... and a LP slot. +100 to hack a Null Cannon, +50 for most everything else and half that to help. Rehacking an enemy Null C will not give you points until it actually finishes the virus update. Two skill levels in System Hacking will eliminate the need for it or just increase your speed.
Guns! Assault Rifle is the most basic unit and when spec is good they then can help clear the area better than most others. SMGs used to be a great Logi weapon, not useful anymore. I can rarely get a kill even sneaking up behind a murder obsessed Red. Shotguns, great if you can get good with them. Same with Mass Drivers.
Some Logi Bro proto gear is seriously sweet. Armor repping two at once. Repping vehicles or installations.

I'm just going to address the very limited questions that you asked.
1.) Shields
There are only a few types of shield modules that can fit on a Dropsuit. Extenders and Rechargers to the High Power Slots (The "LEFT" side) and a Regulator in the Low Power Slots (The "RIGHT" side). Shields Upgrades are nice because the do not slow you down at all and the Logibro is a slow creature as it is. You can never go wrong with Extenders and Rechargers are very nice if you have extra slots available. Regulators are not as nice since they are % based and Logi's have the 3rd Slowest Shield Recharge Rate. That doesn't mean they're not valuable but you can "Probably" find something better for your Low Slots.
2.) Armor
There is really only two Armor Modules, and young Logibros are going to want both to make them less squishy right off the bat. Armor Plates will add a reduced movement penalty but you really won't see a difference till you get Enhanced Armor Plates, at which time the -5% movement speed will make your suit unable to jump over obstacles like Fences and small hills, and Armor Repairers which are always useful to the Low Armor Logibro.
3.) Weapons
There really isn't any weapon that a Logibro can't use as effectively as the next guy... well i take that back, you pretty much NEVER want to put a Swarm Launcher on a Logibro since as soon as somebody sees you it's game over. Swarm Launchers almost never work against infantry and the lack of a sidearm would be detrimental at that point. It's all about personal preference and i encourage young logibros to experiment with various weapons before you decide to make one your permanent choice.
Keep the faith. |
