I'd like to try using a kb/m setup, but before I go get a extra mouse I'm curiousabout something. I've gone through like 3-4pages of searches and can't find whether or not custom mouse input works. Example using the Logitech G700, which I have my eye on. Could I, using the Set Point software that it comes with, map letter E to button G6 and use the mouse button in place of the keyboard? |

I just found the Keyboard/Mouse area in "Options" although it appears I'm unable to edit these. Am I missing something or are these not editable at the moment?
Still searching through the forum (first day), so if anyone could confirm that would be most appreciated! |

Nope. Mice are just mice. All the fancy pants pieces are useless here in console land. Most use W7 drivers and my use of them there is pretty good. However, having said that, they are horrible in OS X and Linux.
The fancy mice just appear as either a HID keyboard/mouse in USB land or a multi button mouse. This requires either the program (game in this instance) to support other features or the actual mouse to store the data on board and then it can only perform actions the program is expecting it to do.
My wired R.A.T.7 is my favorite mouse and it is useless on anything but W7; which I wish I had realized before I burned down the money for it.
So ... Nope. |

Thanks Kal on the confirmation of the 'fancy' mouse challenges.
What about the basic mouse/keyboard - are we able to change the key bindings, and how? |

There was word that keyboard mapping will be in the game at some point. If I recall, it was supposed to be in this build but that obviously didn't happen. So perhaps next build.
I really hope they add mapping for multiple mouse buttons as well. I have extra mouse buttons (4,5,6) on my G500 that I would love to use. |

Get the Logitech G500. After you have customized its buttons in Windows, the profile is saved on the mouse and its button setup carries over when you plug it into the PS3. I cant describe how good it feels to have "X" and "Caps Lock" assigned to the mouse.
And I got myself a USB switch hub, so I can easy flick a switch between using the same mouse and keyboard between the PC/PS3 :)
Good luck. |

Can you please reconfirm that saved profile on mouse have functional keyboard bindings? I've been hoping for that but thinking that so improbable to work to bother to test
Thanks. |

I did not think it was possible too, but I gave it a try still. I will never regret that idea! |
