...and I feel that it is brilliant. So...+1 to CCP for making the same map look different. When I first played it on Chromosome....I was thinking that this map is great! It looked pretty decent and it had some new items that gave it a little flair.
Yesterday, I hopped out the MCC and jumped over the mountain and thought, "I used to do that on the old map". Taking a closer look, I realize that it is the same landscape but the objectives are different with different structures. And I realized how we are going to have 1000s of maps on the different planets. They really fooled me at first..
Renewed my interest for this game because other shooters have the same maps..and you get 3 or 4 more with DLC packs. But we are going to have hundreds of maps. They will be the same landscape but they will look different as evidenced by this new 3 letter map.

Keep in mind that these maps are suppose to be the future maps of high sec planets with structures that may repeat themselves every now and then. But once you go into low sec or null sec, the layout will be so alien every time that you will think you're on a different planet even though you visited the same planet yesterday.

For high sec....I can dig it. Even if the structures remained the same. But just the thought of how different each map will be is insasne. Especially, if we'll be able to build on it if we own thew territory.

Source: YouTube: Fanfest Keynote 2012 Seeding The Universe Correction; these current maps are tiny valleys taken from different districts of 1 high sec planet. |

Watch the 'SEEDING THE UNIVERSE' video on YouTube bro, its pretty detailed in regards to how they plan to generate different maps, its a long video but worth watching. |

It's ok but it plays just like the old 3pt in pubs. Non stop red-lines and snipers on the mountains.
Id like to see some maps made that arnt in a bowl surrounded by mountains on all sides. Maybe then people wont feel the need to mountain camp an entire game their team is losing. |

As a big ol' strategy nerd, I'm looking forward to planning assaults with the terrain map on the war barge. With a fixed number of maps such a thing would become irrelevant pretty quick. |

The buildings at C and B change completely. Sometimes there's a whole building, and bunkers, with C on top of stairs, other times it's burning wreckage and completely bare. Pretty cool. |

New maps generating each time *Or at least 7000 x 6 or so times* really adds flavor to RTS elements. Now if only we understood what exactly the RTS elements we can expect will be. It's really exciting though - MAG almost got it right. |
