This petition is created to encourage CCP to set up some responsible players who are very active on the forums as Moderators.
User mods will keep control and order in the forums when DEVs and GMs have their vacation(Everyone needs one).
This Thread is a good example of what happens when a GM disappears for hours or days.
so if you are a person who respects the forums and the people who inhabit it, Please support this idea and allow CCP to create a team of User Mods.
P.S: stay on topic and don't reply to any trolls, you will only be encouraging them.

That one possible solution, i would prefer GMs doing a faster ban hammer.
Its pointless to moderate some people, you need to punish them or they wont learn it. |

Then you simply picked the wrong people, if you can't stay neutral then it's not the task for you. Just look for someone who has some decent experience on IRC channels and it'll be ok.
Suffice to say that this only works if gm's/devs set out strict rules and they filter out the unstable fanboys. |

I believe we are all erratic and biased. I vote no on user moderators. Everyone would behave nice, till they get their elite mod pawars. |

We wont see ISD on the beta forums for NDA reasons, i've already spoke to some people at CCCP about it in the past. You'll get ISD by the boatload once the games released and the forums merge.
Which is ironic because ISD are **** at their jobs and over moderate because the power goes to their heads and when that happens people will want the forums to be just like this. |

I do not support player mods.
It will most likely be to easy to abuse.
Instead we should enforce the rules much, much, more, and sanction a mighty Purge of the Trolls. |

With the amount of posts that get locked or just simply vanish mysteriously i'd say they are on the ball.
Also if you get players to moderate, the forums would soon become pretty one sided.
What constitutes trolling to some is a valid point to others as long as it's not personal, people need to not take it so personal when some one has a different opinion about various aspects of dust |
