It seriously needs a damage increase and a bigger clip like 200 rounds and it shouldnt overheat when you have the operation skill on lvl 5. After all its quite hard to get a quad kill with it on a small 100 round clip. So that i can mow down 4 type 1 heavys without reloading or overheating. You see laser rifles do less damage against armor and thats why we need a damage buff and increased clip. You know just to stay competetive when snipers are getting buffed. |

While you're at it, make my AR shoot unicorns and rainbows, the unicorns will fly and spear enemies with their horns, and the rainbows will act like flashbangs, blinding the enemies indefinitely for the remainder of their life. |

personally I think my Mass Driver should shoot facehuggers from Aliens so that when i get a direct hit they can't see and frogs
frogs at their legs so they can't run while they're getting faceraped by the facehugger

Nice sarcasm OP. Personally, I think laser rifles are certainly powerful, but the fact that your damage reduces to null when you get in close gives the laser rifle a hard counter that allows for some room for error in balance. I think the effective range is good as is, but if it needs a change at all, I would increase the range at which the damage begins to increase. |

this is beyond silly, any lazer rifle only needs less than 5seconds on its target and their dead, plus at long range the victim cant do much but grab their ankles to the long range cheap shot.
it does need something but not a buff but more of a slower charge rate or something that interferes with the lazer over a period of time, it doesnt need to feel like a giant flyswatter from nowhere. |

What we really need is a Laser within an HMG.
Once I get this equiped in my heavy suit I'll be able to melt tanks within seconds.  |

LR needs a nerf in either
1. range(not really good consider a LAZER is a nearly limitless wavelength),
2. An increase in time to increase to max effectiveness, an increase in how quickly it overheats or conversely how quickly it coolsdown(to create more overheating).
Something to this effect so that it cant be swung around like a 5s lightsaber and then quickly used again inside of a 1-2s which is what i see a lot of with this weapon.
If they do make these changes then it needs an increase in clip size or max clips to balance it out a bit. |

The laser rifle is perfect like that is real good at long range and need some control to follow the target and are easily killed at short range.
The game mecanic are thinked to play in a team just play whit a short range killer. I play along whit a shotgun man and it good againts the heavies i dop ther shild and the shotgun kill them at lightning speed and i use a logi suit so i cant refil and repair or raise my bodyguard.
So learn to play as a team befor crying for a nerf.
Just look the best corp you kill one of them and just befors you start to expres your satisfaction you are shoot in your back by is friend. |

People like myself only use laser rifles because of the AR nerf. If AR's are buffed again, many people will switch back.

The Dark cloud is a good player. He goes 34/0 sometimes when using the laser rifle.
All this post is: buff my powerful weapon so I can go 68/0 instead of 34/0.
I've seen him play and he cuts through people like butter. |

Actually the whole overheating mechanic on the laser rifles needs a change, I find it rarely comes into play, perhaps the laser rifle simply cools too quickly.
How about a laser rifle without clips that cools very slowly. Think it would work? |

it was probably on scouts. i got a five piece on the fishbowl. you just gotta burst fire when the heat gets near the top. |
