Active Boosters are Worthless.... Passive boosters work well though....
I dont see the point in Active boosters they are wasted at day 3 and I only play like 2 hours 2-3 times a week
I guess all that AUR will be spent on passives and BPOs oh well
CCP will still make their money
what are your thoughts on the cap with/without ACTIVE/PASSIVE boosters? |

Micro transactions should always be a little on the useless side for it to be a successful free to play game. Only for those who are weird enough to pay to get a slight advantage, or cosmetic stuff. |

While I understand your point. I disagree. I think that if you are going to put money into a F2P game you should be able to stand out amongst your peers. Granted if you don't pay then you can't speak in corp chat.... (this is not good IMO) but things like cosmetics, and having access to better fittings or even day I say a better class of dropsuits would make sense.....
Tribes Ascend is a good example

Tribes Ascend is a good example In fairness, it's only the 7-day active boost that isn't useful for you, and only because you have enough time to to play to make it worthless.
That being the case, don't buy the seven day boost, just buy the three day.
I've not played tribes: ascend, but according to the first post on this page I googled about it the only thing you pay for that you can't get by just playing is cosmetic.
In dust you can make yourself stand out amongst your peers, but it's with in game stuff, rather than by paying for SP.
Also, the best stuff is available with ISK, but generally for a higher skill requirement. If the best stuff was AUR only, then that would be pay to win, which I believe CCP is trying to avoid. |

No, the cap stays the same. Booster just gives a bonus to how much you can get per match. |

I use the 24 hour booster if I have a day off so I can get close to the cap and then not have to play the rest of the week if I have other things going on in life. |

What you described is the very definition of Pay to win, and CCP said no no no. Every item that AUR can buy ISK will be able to buy eventually when launch. If they did that it would fall in line with just about every other F2P game out there and only perpetuate the stereotype and hate ppl have for F2P games.
As the lady in the deployment center states, Aurum get their faster today. Basically money lets you achieve some items quicker that would not yet be available to you o/w until later on, but still available nonetheless.
With regards to the topic of skill boosters. I find they are indeed worth the money since it allows you to again get there faster, you can hit the 0 SP mark much much quicker and more likely to hit the full amount of weekly SP with it than you are without it. However if you are a player that hits the upper limit of the curve and stops playing when the SP gets down to a few thousand to a few hundred than yes it is not worth it, but since playing from that point to until you get 0 SP is about 100-150ish thousand SP that is indeed worth it, since thats 400-600K SP a month. |

what are your thoughts on the cap with/without ACTIVE/PASSIVE boosters?
They still make sense for some people: - Players who have only limited time to spend on Dust (limited in this means about 4h twice a week) - Harcore players who want to train two or more characters (alts)
Who can save their AUR and not purchase: - Hardcore players who yet refuse to train alts
We don't know what CCP's final purpose of the boosters is as it seems as if it shifted over time. But, IF current model is final it will work to give less time-investing people to invest RL money to catch up a bit.
IF that is the purpose, it makes sense: why should the most hardcore players have to invest into them? If it would be worthwile, everyone NOT using a booster would be a sucker. And that would sound like a kind of a montly fee. |

This is the whole point of using them, for those who can't play more than 3 maybe 4 times a week for a couple hours.
This is the reason I use them, and probably the reason all but the hardcore use them as well. |

they're supposed to be anti-grind for people who can't play as much, right now they boost cap by 50%, noob. |
