I normally welcome strafers with open arms and safties off. This game, however is becoming a huge problem, with regards to strafing, damage output, aiming, and latency issues. This game is super annoying at times due to the fact that the people can STRAFE far faster than usual, as compared to other FPS shooters. SOLUTION: People should gradually hit full speed when walking in a straight line. I'm saying you should'nt be able to strafe at exactly 5m a second in whichever direction that person chooses, not instantly at least. You should'nt be able to instantly strafe in any direction you wanted, not at maximum straight line walking speed at least. The game should be able to detect if someone is consistently strafing, and instantaneously halve that person's movement speed in whichever direction they're strafing (because of the erratic, non-humanoid movements, and mercs aren't talented dancers), until they move normally, when they're actually trying to get somewhere. Normal speed will carry on as long as the merc can move in a normal pattern. If he starts moving in an unnatural pattern (aka playing Twister mixed with Dance Dance Revolution while wearing MoonBounce shoes), his speed while strafing will be 1/2 or 2/3 while strafing. The game will have running remain the same. OR, 8 bullet kills (varying by weapon level, with Proto guns killing the fastest) would come back in style, not unlike BF3 or COD. That would prevent strafing altogether, even though that would'nt be fair to the flanker. Something needs to be done, because strafing is running way too rampant. I know because I'm a user of this. Sensitivity is actually ok, but the sharp movements of strafers make it look very bad. However, the Scoped AR's still move too slow while scoped. This system will be as sexy as it is seamless, provided CCP enacts the aforementioned solutions. It'll be nearly unnoticable, except a lot more ppl will die. To complete this system, weapons (namely the AR's) will be shoulder fired, meaning the sights will have to become smaller, in order to assimilate nicely. Power should fall SLIGHTLY as range increases, enabling accurate, long-range gunfights. This game will move a lot faster, battle-wise. Currently, 13 bullets (minimum with Duvolle AR, 2 Complex dmg modifiers activated) to the head and shoulders will drop a assault merc. I think that number will drop, significantly, when the LATENCY isssues are terminated. Maybe it'll drift back to 8 or 9 plasma bullets when this is, if ever, enacted. We should have the option to freely add and remove the AR scopes, iron sights being the default. I am growing fond, very fond of this game, and I'm just trying to help. It is a very satisfying game, and from this it can only get better and better until we land on the release date. Thank you CCP, and keep up the good work next year!!! |

For god's sake, separate your paragraphs. I could barely read this. Also, CCP prefers that you keep your feedback limited to one suggestion or a few closely related suggestions, as it's easier for them to sift through it that way. As for your actual suggestions, I have not much to say, although I don't find strafing to be a problem. I wouldn't mind if shooting while moving was less accurate than it is now, but affecting agility is a bad idea. |
