Interesting how they claim to have fixed the high latency for ppl that have high latency. I don't think so! I still see shield flash after shield flash after shield flash on certain ppl. I know these ppl aint invincible. Looking at their specs when in focus tells me they aren't. Seems I'm always the first mofo to die in a fire fight when the other person has little to nothing in Armor / Shield. Sniper hit detection is alot better but, far from FIXED. Why is it when A Orbital Strike is about to rain down on us I'm the first MOFO to die when all I see is the laser Targeting and just the sound of the laser. As soon as that is going I'm deader than a door nail faster then you can blink your eye.
Example. Guy with a "Starter Heavy" goes around the corner. I snuck up behind him and opened fired. Shield flash after shield flash after shield flash. I manged to get him down to half his health before he turned around and killed me faster then I could blink my eye. This happen 20 mins ago.
Fixed? Yeah right. |

for most people on actual internet connections, it's way better than it was you're going to have to consider investing in a new router, a better internet connection, or giving your PS3 a hardline ethernet connection to the router instead of over wifi |

Also try to free up your bandwidth- I tried playing Dust at a friend's place while he was downloading singularity; the latency was terrible (nothing like hit detection, but it was easy to see with a sniper rifle that shots didn't kill until a second or 2 after firing). However, when the singularity download closed, the latency left. |

Sorry to burst your bubble. My skills for rep armor and shield are in maximum. I also use 2 shield extender, heavy type 2, advance shield regulator, and advance armor rep. The thing is, all the weapon I use has higher damage skills and im not even done skilling them up. |

I have to agree with the OP on this one.I have pretty good internet,and I find that not all of the time,but often enough,the latency is pretty bad,but then again,this is on par with any and every other online shooter on the market.
Here's a story just to give you an example.
I was playing a skirmish on Ashland.I was shooting at an assault guy that was running and had dipped behind one of those metal walls that stand about 8 ft high.There's a row of about 4 or five of them,with about a four ft gap between them,Well when I was hitting him,with shield and hit markers,his armor showed full health when he ran around the back of the wall.When he emerged from the wall where the gap is,then the game finally caught up and before I started shooting again,I noticed that his shield was down to about 1/3.Mind you,no one else was shooting at him but me.
That was probably the weirdest latency that I've seen in the beta so far.The funny thing is,I'm sure the same thing happens all the time,just the situation is different,where instead of me just getting a clean shot on someone who isn't shooting back,I get killed instead because they actually are shooting back.So even with my 25 down and 4 up connection,obviously my information isn't getting to the server as fast as the other player.
Also,I am starting to notice that on some of the maps,the framerate lag is starting to come back.Not nearly to the levels of the previous builds,but it's slowly creeping back in.

Speaking of which, "shooting back" I just did a match and towards the end of the match, again I shot at a person "WITH a SNIPER" rifle. The guy killed me twice with one shot with a militia sniper rifle while the whole time I was shooting and shooting and shooting at him with a Kaalakiota rifle maxed out on Operation L5 / Profiency L5.. Shield flash after shield flash. No damage to him but it cost me 165k+ to replace the equipment. :|
This build is alot better then what was last put out. By far. Fixed? No. Improved? Yes. I can see more improvements can be done. I wished they didn't take away some things that was in the last build like Latters that went to places that was good for snipers. :P |

Lag wise, it's still there. But the lag has improved vastly in my opinion. Does that mean we should be ok with it? No. Does that mean CCP failed to resolve an age-old issue? No. They improved the lag to the extent that I am now able to play a very stable match (a little lag on rare occasions) on the Asian server even though I'm in the US. I say CCP did a damn good job on improving the issue. |
