As a lot of eve players know about this is there a way we can implement this in Dust... Primary, Secondary, Tertiary. One of the reasons I say this is because lower level players who come across much higher sp players with a obvious tank of some sort armor/shield tanked have to learn strategic focus fire. The more dps the better. Again some might say grab a equalizer.. Tank, Dropship, what ever it may be.. My argument would be this promotes team work either way you look at it.
I believe this would be better accomplished with target painting or maybe a more simpler system of setting a mobile way point on a enemy, if this has already been brought up please link me. |

The active scanner is only as good as its scan resolution and the target's scan profile. If your target has Dropsuit Command Level 5, Profile Dampening Level 5, and is fitted with Profile Dampeners and is using a Gallente Scout Dropsuit, then your active scanner will have a tough time finding it.
Without the active scanner module, your TACNET will only work with line of sight. |

This topic has been brought up often on the scout threads.
Scouts having Binos to paint targets was the best suggestion I have heard so far. |

Well some people use keyboard and mouse should be as simple as right click and broadcast target. Or a dedicated hit and hold L2 to broadcast.

I would go one further with this and say I would like to see this used with heavy ariel vehicles so you can use them like an AC-130 but only if targets are painted on the ground by infanty. It would require advanced team work and the heavy ariel vechicle would have to be fairly slow moving / limited maneuverability so that the enemy has some chance of killing it.

I definitely like the idea of painting targets so players with the lower tier weapons can work together in taking down the more armored and shielded enemies. It should help with balancing that part of the game much easier. |

Gears of war 3 has a feature like that where you "spot" an enemy, then a marker appears above them for like six seconds. It uses the unreal engine so they may be able to do something.... |

Just to clarify, target painting is different to spotting. I think the OP is refering to target painters as they are in Eve where by it is a support module that increases the signature radius of the target allowing others to deal more damage to it. This is opposed to just showing your team where the enemy are in the case of spotting. |

That would be interesting. Maybe that's something the commander role will be able to do. |

painting would allow for creative things like locking swarms around corners, and killing peeps that way. or allowing missile fire and artillery to lob more accurately.
at no point do I think this should be solo trickyness. You need a dedicated spotter to call down the steel rain, whatever form it takes. |

well someones got to hold the target painter and someone has to hold the shooty thing? Co-op is unavoidable in this instance mate. |

quit trying to argue with me when your statement says you agree with me
My point is the tactic, like my previous stasis webber idea in feedback forum absolutely should be teamwork only tactics. Otherwise it encourages weekend rambos to try to LOLroll and not bother to use teamwork. |

I do agree with you, but I prefer to agree with a bit of smack talk :-) |
