Lets be honest, we all want the corporations to be the way to play, but I want some bloody competition to, don't you? The fact is corporations will increase to overshadow randoms if the randoms get better, and with proper implementation the randoms WILL get better. Some players feedback to these sorts of suggestions is "Get in a corps", or "play with friends", but this is from a player in an active corps with plenty of friends to play with, I want good solid opposition on the opposing side, that isn't always coming from corps... So here are my suggestions:
First, when making teams group the players with Mics together first, and make the system focus on putting players from the same region or same corps on the same team.
Second, if a squad leader issues no orders within a minute of the game playing allow squad lead to be stolen from that player no questions asked.
Third, encourage microphone use by rewarding players for merely having mics, I know this will cause annoyances, but that's why we have a mute option.
Fourth, we need a match making system that will organize players based on skill, so that at least some of the teams are functional.
Finally, I know this is coming out with release, but commanders are sorely needed, and unlike squad lead, I think ignoring a commanders orders on the battlefield should be penalized, and the commander should always be available to be voted out of his position and replaced in case he's incompetent...
Basically no new ideas here, nothing particularly special about this thread, and in an abstract many other threads contain similar ideas, but the point of this thread is different in one regard... I want a bloody challenge, and randoms should be organized to, not just the corps. Its perfectly plausible to make a system that makes being unorganized difficult, and that should be the goal. It will improve the experience of all players, and it will give the corps more of a challenge, and thus increase the quality of all the corps across the board.

Support. As far as mics go, however, I don't think rewarding mic use is a good idea; putting mics together should also be a pair system (first 2 mics go on team A, second 2 go on team B, next 2 go on team A, etc) |
