I have grown to like this game for what it is and that is an online first person shooter with role playing game elements. Yes there is back story and when you create a character yo choose a race, bloodline, sex and all that jazz but when is that use in game other than what dropsuits and skills you start with. Hell I don't even remember what bloodline my toon is.
Will this game just be a shooter where you upgrade and kill faceless clones or will there be more. Will there be meaning to which race I choose other then a suit. How will the contracts work, will only NPCs and EVE players be able to make them or will Dust players make them too.
Of course there will be new maps, every game does but how about modes. Can there be multi team matches? Can there be matches where players are to pickup mining shipments and transport them to an extraction site on the map so their team scores points. Players can shoot other players with shipments and pick up the dropped package for their own.
Will there be wager matches where Dust players can bet against other Corps and take the winnings, you can even take it one step further and have Mercs who are on the Vita using NeoCom bet on matches too.
With Launch Voice Chat with in Corps should come standard where premium luxuries would be 3D Conference Rooms where you can invite Mercs and EVE pilots to strategize for the next match.
What Happened to the Star Map, it made me feel as if I where on some ship or space station in the EVE Online Universe. I noticed a holographic solar system in the Mercs Quarters so I assume it should return at launch as well. Would it be possible to have the Star Map on the Vita NeoCom as well.

You're thinking of this expanding towards your traditional shooter instead of a true MMOFPS.
Instead of just "matches" (supposedly there will still be a casual battle finder anyway), we'll be going on war barges that someone has to buy. These war barges will be going to planets of our choosing, then launching MCCs to the many districts.
These districts will be the "maps" where the real fighting will take place, with real objectives other than "Let's put 2 MCCs next to eachother and waste tons of resources making one explode". Destroying a hostile MCC will help you out a lot (much like destroying an HAV right now), but it won't guarantee a win. |

In eve, race sets your starting location, starter ship, and initial skills. Standing determines who works with you.
If you make a Gallente character but travel right away to Caldari space and do there npc missions you can get enough standing to join the Caldari militia to fight the Gallente. Then you would be kill on sight in the system you started in. All the npc faction work like this, even pirates like sansha or blood raiders if you do enough work for them, although only the big four have militias. |

Nope, race doesn't come into play for FW... its an aestetic and does not really have any in-game value. Has a bit more value for eve with starting skills and space (since places take forever to move around), but nothing significant or unchangeable and probably even less bearing for Dust mercs, atleast from what I've experienced atm |

Yea with FW no matter what race you are you or your corp can choose whatever race you wish to fight for |
