Read all of it before you go crazy and start tearing the idea down. I believe it'd be cool to have a custom HUD option for battle. By this I mean you could rearrange where the map, weapon status, etc. would go, what they'd look like and what color they'd be. I know it's not too important to the game but it seems pretty cool. To prevent "Downfalls, disadvantages, negative crap, etc." could people give ideas to improve upon this?
I'm sure there's a way, if it isn't a good idea already, to make this idea better and things. And please. If you're going to tear this idea down. PLEASE be intelligent with it. I've had enough remarks sent my way today that lack even a morsel of logic so make humanity proud and BE SMART :D
Again I don't care if this is implemented or not. Just seems like a neat little feature you guys could add with, of course, ways to make it less... Bad... And things of the sort.
EDIT: I did a search on this and didn't find anything. Apologies if there IS a thread discussing this. My computer does, unfortunately, tend to take info from certain sites incorrectly when processing links and results. |

Haven't seen a thread on this before. It probably wouldn't be as easy to implement as it was for EVE. But they might be able to. |

I provided a possible seed idea for how to implement this in the console interface, here:
https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=46017
Particularly this paragraph:
CaptBuckle wrote: As for the controller...you already have a "command tree" of sorts, initiated with the R2 button...which will either select equipment, or if R3 is pressed, will then allow an objective to be set. Maybe R2->L1 could be used to activate HUD options. Might even be able to use R2->L1, then us RS to select a position on screen for the HUD readout, and...using the same fitting mechanics, then hit X to choose which HUD display to "root" at that point. But for the more casual player, a quick tap of R2->L1 should just toggle all optional HUD elements...kinda like a quick tap of R2 swaps between weapons.
