Dont ask forums... first play the game a bit, do all the tutorials, hopefully you already have a buddy on Eve, if not it will be harder, but just read up on eve wikis and such if you are really into it.
Look into ratting/salvaging, Faction Warfare loyalty points aka LP (keep in mind this has been altered somewhat since last expansion, but advice won't vary too much but just recognize that some aspects are different), mining and industry...
This is just a short handful of ways, but for a beginner its all you really need to get going. Ratting/salvaging/questing will probably be some of first stuff you go by as a noobie... but FW is definitely something to look into |

Step 1. Complete the tutorials get a grasp of the game.
Step 2. Pick a goal for yourself, a job, a task, anything.
Step 3. Research, Resource (in SP, Isk, Mateirals, people and clout) on how to accomplish this.
Step 4. Create a road map to success
Step 5 If success repeat step 2 if not step 6.
Step 6 Analyze where and were you went wrong, apply lessons learned repeat steps 2-5. |

PIMP MAC DADDY wrote:Hey guys my title explains all. as stated above tutorials, isk goal, interact with corps to find what you like. Interacting with corps makes stuff easier but take it from me don't join right away. These guys will always bare gifts so capitalize on that sort of hospitality because at some stage it just isn't cute anymore. Socializing is a big advantage giving you leverage into any area of eve. If there is a corp to join straight away it would be RVB That red versus blue consisting of 2 corps Red Federation and Blue Republic.
As far as good ways to make income. Don't expect billions in your first month unless you really know what your doing. Earnings in eve come like wages. The longer your in the work force the better you get paid whilst advancing your skills. Trading is by far a necessary skill, I'm not going to flat out say its the best income because some aren't good at it. But if you understand and know the inter workings of the economy then seeing good deals on the market both selling and buying become more apparent. But definitely you'll have a better chance at making your products more assessable at good prices.
So then its off to professions you can do any at the same time. I trade, produce from pi, mission, and make isk off of factional warfare. Missions are going to be an easy bread maker at the start so do them. From there you can do plan on doing Planetary interaction as a subsidiary residual income on top of your missions.
PI is easy to do and you can do it passively(doing it actively once every 3-5 days) this video here. Here
Finally there is trading, where you can make billions of isk in one go and loose it all as fast as you got it. Its a roller coster ride at first with its ups and downs. But big payouts can come.
Watch this vid art of the station trade. And going Hub to Hub
These are only a few examples of how to make money in eve. But there are copious amounts of money in more dangerous areas of space. Worm Hole space can bank you 3 billion isk in a week or less. Low sec incursions get you 100m+/hour. so always be on the look out for whats feasible for you. |

I recommend Exploration, though at the start of the game you may not have the skills to do much of it, but once you have the knowledge to move safely and the ships to complete the sites, you'll make bank. |

Now there's been multiple suggestions on variety of different professions or miniprofessions.
There's a huge difference if you have one accounbt or multiple ones.
I'm gonna answer the one account scenario and leave the other for all those industrialists and miners etc...
For young character there is a single low-SP but great profit 'occupation': Salvage.
if it's hard to kill npc's by yourself, make sure you get all the isk possible the ones you do kill, by salvaging. Please note level one (mission) rats give hardly any salvage or boynty. Level 2 is ok for beginners but no-one else.
Once you can salvage level 3 missions you earn tens of millions which is good income for newbs (but not for veterans ofc).
A tip to newbs: Teamwork is magic: try to get to salvage the sites of friends, the best fast killers (or lazy ones ignoring isk) might not salvage their L3 or L4 sites so it's a very good idea to for you to do that. =)
For everyone, even ones doing nullsec anomalies, the question to consider is: Do I kill rats fast enough to ignore salvaging or should I dual box an alt with noctis...

Send me 200,000 ISK as a deposit, and I will submit 2,000,000 ISK into your account, money back guaranteed. I've got way too much ISK, but I don't want to give it to chumps who can't earn a little on their own first. |

There are lots of ways to make (and loose) isk in Eve.
My plan would be
1. do the tutorials 2. do missions 3. skill up initially for this http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/57120-Drake-Cheap-Low-skill-PvE.html 4. use Evemon to make the training plan http://evemon.battleclinic.com/
Use this http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports to make sure you have the right fits for different mission types and walkthoughs to help prevent bad losses
I know that ZionTCD has a corp in Eve which is running missions as a fleet - there is a public channel ZionTCD which you can join |

In addition to Red vs Blue* I would also recommend looking into Eve-University. Their alliance actually helps newcomers understand the basics of the game. Just like RvB, they also do fleet roams, sometimes even into low-sec from what I heard and their CEO/Director is currently a member of the CSM7 if I recall correctly.
I have played Eve Online mainly with a mining profession. It's a very under appreciative profession just like Nova Knifing is, but I do it because it's peaceful and I like to admire the environment. Of course, on rare occasions I would roam into low-sec looking for a fight in a ship that I saved up for just with the intent of losing it on purpose.
PRO TIP:
If you even intend to pirate or look for fight for PHAT LEWTS, I would recommend saving up enough ISK to purchase 50-100 Rifters (plus fittings and ammo), fly into a low-sec and see how many players you can succeed in killing. There is an old saying among Rifter pilots. "If you're not losing much ships, you're doing it wrong".
PRO PRO TIP:
The Rifter is a prime ship for piracy and other things as it is one of the most versatile ships out there. You can fit it for tackling, scouting, high alpha, high dps, pure speed, etc. and it can go well with either solo roaming or fleet roaming.
PRO PRO PRO TIP:
When flying a Rifter, don't forget to fit a warp disruptor. |

Trading is good but you need to know how. Honestly for me, the best way to make isk is not even in game. Once you get enough start up capital try sports gambling: http://eve-bet.com/ and poker: http://www.eohpoker.com/ Although you have to be smart about it. |

Some good tips there to make some isk.
My best tip to help you from losing it is ... ignore anything in Jita local (or any trade hub) ... it's most likely a scam.
And read contracts carefully ... a Charon (freighter) is not spelled Carbon ... no matter how many freight containers you include with it !
I couldn't comment specifically on the above gambling games, but I personally avoid them, they could be legit ... casinos make money while honoring peoples wins, but I couldn't vouch for any of these isk gambling games. |
