So i have been away from the beta for some time as i was waiting on K/M support. Just found out last week that it has had it for a while. So i got the new update, played and enjoyed the game for almost an hour when it crashed at a round end. I was tired so i went to bed came to play the next day and had YLOD for the first time on my system. So i thought whatever stuff happens and my system was bought in 2008 so its had a good run. I opened my ps3 as the warranty had expired a long time ago and re-flowed the solder on the gpu and cpu. Well it worked and booted up and i played dust for another 15 min and it crashed again with a YLOD. I hoping that the new PS3 can hold up but its going to be a while before i can get another one. Dust is about the only thing i care about playing on the PS3 so i may wait till closer to lunch to get a new one. |

Same happens to me with this last build. I have DL'd the client 3 times, deleted all the save files, updated the PS3, reformatted the hdd and still the same result. This only happens to me while playing Dust. Never happens with other games.
The client in the US store I believe is the codex build 3.0 which is something like 2.6 Gb and I had still had to update the latest version 3.03 another 2.7 Gb. Is this the same for you?
I have another post last week on this topic, but seems i was the only 1 with this problem.
Keep me updated if you find a solution. I have already sent an email to support to help resolve the issue. |

Your problem sounds the most similar to mine. I have reformatted twice now. Loaded other programs all work fine.
Download the old dust, then the new patch. Corrupted file error every time last time it nearly bricked my ps3 got into a fixing corrupted file loop.
Can't believe this is a hdd failure its a new slim model just a little over a year old. How old is yours?

My PS3 is only 2 years old ( slim model). I am planning to invest in a SSD next month based on positive feedback from other players, but i really think this a software not a hardware problem.
I understand the bugs associated with a beta and I'm fine with that, but this is ridiculous. I fear my PS3 will only be useful as a doorstop. |
