"Quantity of custom fittings has reached upper limit"
is the message if you try to create your 41st fitting. All fittings count.
That is an okay amount, but I'd STILL want more, especially in order to fit in self-agreed limitations. (like 'militia only' or 'meta 1 max' which are used sometimes in friendly corp battles)
Those limited versions tend to multiply fitting amounts. |

Update!
Deleted 4 fittings - and the game STILL gives me the error!
Restarting Dust didn't help.
Either: CCP lowered the number of allowed fittings (why oh why? to save HDD space???)
OR
This is a bug. |

A few people have said it's around the 30 mark in a previous thread about this.
If you had more than the maximum number of fittings before the new build, you keep all your fittings, but you can't make more until you delete enough fittings to fall back below the limit.
Also, how do you have 40 fittings? Not meaning that offensively, I'm just curious what you use them all for. |

There's honestly absolutely no reason to have 40 different fittings at this early stage of the game. |

I would love to have a "folder" of fittings that you could specify before each game and in each have about 40 or so fittings. That way you can have your "corp battle" folder and your "high sec" folder etc. etc. It would help my organization at lot. |

It's called "specialized equipment" and it's hard to explain to people who "won the beta" with their PRO assault with PRO AR and only play that one all the time. Also free loadouts let you have fun instead of stomping on people.
I had 40 fitttings in previous build, now I'm down to 10... just restocked every one to at least 1 (to have the modules), then deleted everything and re-built by hand the 10 most needed. Which means that now my AV capabilities are limited (MD+eq/FG+nades, no swarms) and I have no suits for vehicle maintenance at all, but meh.
Edit: yes, give us skill for more slots! I would put SP on this. |

I hit the upper limit the other day and I have to say I'm not wild about it. There are lots of good reasons to have more than 30 fittings. I mostly run assault suits with with AR, LR, and (sometimes) swarm. I have several fittings with each weapon with the following variations:
- Nanohive or injector
- AV or locus grenade
- Cheap (less than 5K ISK), somewhat cheap (less than 25 ISK), moderately priced (50 ISK)
From just combinations of the above variations I have well over 20 suits.
The rest of my slots are filled up with fittings to try out other weapons and to deal with situational issues or gaps in squad capabilities (e.g. MD/heavy/logi/sniper). |

There should be an auto fit option where you choose a specialization / gears tier / minimum-maximum price and the system generate a set of fits to choose from.
