OK, I did a search and tried to make sure that this issue hasn't been brought up before and i wasn't creating a double post. But this has happened to me now on three totally different instances. The first instance was before this most recent build. I was on top of the fuel tanks of (don't know the maps name) and there was an enemy sniper on top of the tank next to me. I had my AR pointed at him and was aiming right where his head would be but he was FULLY hidden behind the wall. I mean not a single part of him was showing at all. yet sudden BAM HEADSHOT im dead and killed by him. he didn't move at all. shot me with the sniper THROUGH THE FRIGGIN WALL of the fuel tank. Second instance was on the map with the three cap points and the mountains all around. Was going up against an enemy sniper. This time i had my own sniper and from across the map was scoped in on him. He was completely behind the ridge line of the mountain. Again not a single part of him was showing at all. And yet again i got sniped. The third time i was going up again a forge gun guy from PRO. we were both on top of the oil pipes on the map with the giant refinery in the middle. I had my AR out and scoped right to where his head was. Every time he tried to pop up i would unload on him causing him to crouch back down. This turned into a standoff where for about a minute both of us were just chilling there. He wouldn't pop up and i wouldn't move because i wanted to kill him. Next thing i know while he is still shown as crouched and yet again THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PART OF HIM SHOWING suddenly i get taken out by him and his forge gun. SO i ask am i Fing missing something??? Three different times im going toe to toe with someone waiting for my shot because they're hidden behind a friggin barricade and yet all three times i get killed while they're still behind the barrier that i cant shoot through. |

I've had the same issue with heavies and assaults. I'd take the high ground and back up so he'd have to come up some to shoot at me but he stays put an then I see the bullet tracers coming through the dirt and he kills me |

Not so much a bug per se, more a quirk of multiplayer gaming.
It's a bit technical, but to cut a long story short, you're not where you (or your console) think you are. It's a bit like playing chess over email, every now and then you miss a move or incorrectly place an opponent's piece when he moves - this is what's happening (a packet containing a move you made didn't hit the server, so didn't actually happen. This is very common with UDP network systems as UDP doesn't guarantee delivery. Fortunately it doesn't happen too regularly to great extents.
It's the root cause of "rubberbanding" - where your toon will warp a few virual feet to the left, back a bit, etc. Rubberbanding happens when a lot of packets are lost and the server forces you to where it thinks you should be - actually the server forces your position every few seconds anyway, it's just not noticeable most of the time.
Basically, don't rely on cover as the server could think you're 5 meters away. |

The worst my teammate and I got with this bug was a tank with the large blaster turret shot us both through a solid metal wall... We took cover behind it, and saw the blaster bolts pierce through and kill us... And we were at a pretty good range away from the tank too... |
