First, I apologize if there are other posts on this subject, I just need a quick answer is all. Every time I sign in (right before the patch notes list) I get the 'data is corrupted' message. Its not just sometimes, its every single time I start up dust. I've tried deleting the client and downloading it again multiple times but I still get the same message. Dust plays fine after skipping the corrupt data message but I keep having to re-set x and y sensitivity and deadzone every time I log in. Anyone else have this problem? |

This is the 1st time I've heard about this particular bug. If I hear anything I'll post it on here. |

Did you delete the save file for dust on your system?
You won't lose any data because all the stats are stored server side. |

If the data is corrupted, you can try deleting the game file & reinstalling. But most likely you'll have to rebuild system database from the 'recovery menu'(google it). I had a friend who couldn't login for a month & this was the only solution that worked. |

I didn't delete save data because in the window it says 'dust game settings, user data etc', what does it mean by 'user data'?

Any user data that's actually relevant is saved server-side as well, so deleting it definitely won't harm your save data.
I've had my old pS3 die and had to buy a new one, and I've come back with no loss of data on a new console with a new HDD - the only things lost were my settings - the same ones you're currently having to reset every time anyway. Try deleting THAT saved data as well. If it doesn't work, listen to the other guy who said to do a database rebuild, because that should fix it if nothing else does. |
