In relation to another thread I just started, there should be a module or skill that can stop swarms or other future guided weapons systems from locking on, or at least make it harder or take longer to do so.
This could potentially be countered by having a skill buff attached to the weapon skills or maybe a completely new AV skill that increases your ability to lock onto a vehicle.
This could also apply to the seek ability of AV nades. |

The easiest way to implement this would be to combine it with the signature profile of the vehicle.
Basically, the lower the signature profile, the harder it is to maintain a lock, or the less of a chance for the lock to be successful. |

And to iterate on this idea...
maybe there could be thing that in order to keep the lock-on active you would haveto keep the crosshair at a certain angle or less towards the target? Now that angle / cone that would give you the lock-on would be a function of weapon tracking/signature resolution, your own skills, modules versus the range and vehicles signature profile, pilots related skills and modules. |

The feature I wanna see the most is lock-on notification for vehicle drivers. Take MAG for example, if I was in a vehicle and someone was using a lock-on missile, I would hear a loud beeping noise to notify I'm being locked onto. Or perhaps like in other games where it shows red lettering on the front of your screen saying something like "lock-on imminent" or "Your being targeted". |

Chaff/counter measures and lock-on warnings will be all be cool but none of them actually fulfill the function I'm describing - it is like the scan profile idea mentioned; at the moment scan profile only determines if you can be seen on the radar but has no impact on being able to be locked onto. There should be like vehicle profile dampeners that affect the ability of swarms to lock on as well. |
