in the actual game show, militia gear please, this is unrealistic and totally lying to them of what the game really is. |

Okay but then they should be going against militia equipment. These event players have never picked up Dust and we are running ADV and PROTO gear, wouldn't be much fun to go to a show to try out games and be a complete non-factor. This is how you would sale the game, not by showing off crap fits but showing them the "ohhh so cool" fits.
I kinda feel bad for them any ways, just running through them because they have no idea of the mechanics on Dust and the map is so small that when they spawn they die.

No it shows the games potential im sure they understand and are told that. They are givin those outfits bmso they stand a chance against a community that has had all this time to improve. |

We sure get a butt-load of ISK farming those proto suits and gear though. My and one of my corp buddies, Blakk Ic3, were the first ones to actually join one of those matches the other night (they had just opened the servers). And for the first 2/3rd of the game it was just me and him farming the crap out of 4-5 of those guys. They would spawn in and just sit there. I just used my Exile AR and militia BPO suit the entire round.
Some regulars started joining towards the end, but I ended up going something like 18-2 and left the match with 943,000 ISK. Blakk got 850,000 or so too.
Not sure if it was for participating in the gameshow server, or if it was because we were taking out so many completely maxed out proto players (guess we get more ISK for that?), but I know in my Dust lifetime I will probably NEVER get that amount of ISK from a single match ever again. |
