I'm really looking forward to these as well. Mostly because of how installations work, so indoor maps would also be outdoor maps ;) |

Soon...but it seems like they just want to test out all the guns, including sniper rifles. Just got to wait a while for something like that and keep your head down. |

CCP already said that they will add "infantry friendly" maps, meaning that we will expect somekind of cities or instalations for lots of CQC, meaning that snipers and even vehicles are not going to be really usefull there. |

We already have infantry friendly maps- the orbital artillery is a good example, along with the manus peak ambushes right now.
It may not seem like it to infantry, but manus peak right now is VERY unfriendly to vehicles, since there's no room to safely deploy or repair. The people who DO deploy vehicles there only manage it because they have a squad watching their back. |

The map with the central tower that is supposed to be the orbital artillery site...with the singe cru upper right...the changes they've made with higher side walled walkways suggest they are testing towards interior spaced maps. It's fun |

yea moar indoor maps fo show!
On all the maps right now there isn't enough multi-level gun fights. In BF3 there are many levels the enemy can be on, not just on the ground or on the roof. Hopefully they implement interior fighting well enough that we aren't just running around a small town without being able to enter at least some buildings.
Don't mind the ones we have now but they don't feel like anything substantial, just an open area that we run around with out much indication on what it is and why we are fighting in it besides the fact that that's what we do.
Also the buildings don't seem to scale either, the small ones are short and not very wide compared to the size of mercs or their vehicles, the big ones are skinny and the different levels look like there should be a lot of levels when seen at a glance but the levels themselves are no bigger than the height of a merc.
On these open CQC maps, the tall buildings should have the center of them hallowed out and a stair well going up it. at different levels have a few doors leading to a balcony on the out side of the structure. Have a few of these together on a small map, a few catwalks to get to each of them and we could see some interesting game play.
As a dropship pilot flying between buildings and using a blaster to kill the people on the balconies, hot dropping passengers on top of buildings or extracting them.
We just need a true CITY complex and not just these work outposts that we seem to be on. |

Just curious and this is all opinion; but is that how the command node installations are going to be? A large indoor installation meant to be a base? I've trying to figure what those are and have no idea at all. |
