Not sure how CCP is going to implement this, but it would be interesting if OS had nothing to do with WP, and more about map control. For example, PS are granted as an award for success. It could be pretty cool if the EVE players in orbit could have a bigger impact and support a losing size instead. Like OB don't open up as an option if you are winning (control points or clone count). Just a thought. |

Tbh it doesnt make sense to reward a winning team or a losing team, thats why it has nothing to do with either. Its about
1) connections and support
+
2) Warpoints
Warpoints of a squad does not denote a winner or a loser, but obviously there needs to be some kind of payoff. Tbh we dont know exactly how it will be implimented but im all for giving an effective squad access to an OB, it doesnt mean the team is winning by any means.
Ultimately strategy = victory, OB wont mean much anyways to a losing team unless they know how to capitalize on it, so im against giving freebies to bad players so i get a bigger isk bill that was out of my control, it doesnt mean the game will become more fun/competitive because it is all dependant on how the losing team can monopolize.
When game launches probably will act same way it is now for highsec, what we are talking now is for FW and Null which will be more corp v corp orientated
**Edit** In null and FW may actually cut out the warpoints part of it and be all on eve support and cooldowns |

Yea, the part I'm worrying about is sitting around in orbit waiting for my squad to MAYBE get enough WP to MAYBE bombard in a single match.
Tying specifically to the performance of a squad kind of ruins the value of the EVE connection, it might as well be any other kill streak reward without someone on the other end of the trigger.
I like the cool down idea, its much more sense for me to support my guys from space whenever, provided it isn't every 10 seconds. |
