These are the smallest maps for the shortest duration ambushes I have seen thus far. I do not see how this would entice a player to try this more than a couple times. Is the show that huge that someone can't play a match more than a couple minutes? Uplinks did not seem to work in these maps. I am not sure if that is intentional or not, the maps are so small.I am curious how this is being marketed over there after playing in these matches a few times already.
Do you think these ambush maps give Dust a good presentation to Asia of what the game is like or fun at all?
No lag for me in the States was good to see though. |

I tried it. I liked it. The spawn system seemed to work much better than in regular ambushes. The map size is perfect for the number of players. It allows for close, mid and long range combat. There's plenty of cover too. |

I wasn't a fan either, but as long as they served their purpose *shrug*, at least it was something different.
My squad did lag a bit though, and we lagged out completely one time.. so perhaps they were small for a reason. I agree that they weren't really representative of what DUST has to offer though, so hopefully that was understood.

Are you kidding me? The HK show merc battle maps are fun as hell. I liked the trade show map the most out of all the other maps given to us actually. I really hope they keep them for good. I dont know what your experience was with the uplinks, but the past few games my team used them, they gave us quite the edge. You just have to be strategic with their placement, just like any other time you use them. I think this is how ambush mode should be; smaller maps, short and very sweet. I was suprised that vehicles worked pretty well too. I called in a tank and was immediately supported by the rest of my team, and then we pretty much steam rolled them lol. As soon as I went off all lone wolf style in my Gunnlogi, I was eaten up by swarms and forge guns. It was really fun. Could have been put in a DUST 524 trailer =)

I think it did. CCP made a good choice by showing it off this way and with this choice of map in my opinion.
