bumping into objects and other vehicles causes way too much damage/instadeath. I can understand a full speed head on collision, but knicking, bumping, scratching, rubbing, and side swiping does not annihalte a vehicle that can take multiple hits from weapons.

And on the opposite note - I can ram an LAV at full speed into a mountain and be fine before they tweaked it into this. And TBH, I much prefer LAV drivers having to take care where they drive rather then bein insane sweet tooth wanna bes *Twisted Metal reference :D* As a heavy - I've died way too many times from drug crazed LAV drivers ramming into everything at full speeds. |

Try exiting when you're about to crash into another vehicle. I wish you could place remote explosives on it and be like a boss.

::cough cough:: sorry ::cough cough::
This is because of guys like me who used dropships more or less as giant death bunnies in the past....the whole reason we did it though is because you don't earn squat as a dropship pilot, never have. They have yet to give us proper rewards such as points for spawns in the ship, or points for dropping people off.
----------------PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT-----------------
If you spawn into a dropship.....do not, I repeat, do not just sit there. Jump out. Your inertia dampeners will kick in unless you're exceptionally unlucky or just plain stupid. You do nothing by sitting in the ship except become a liability.
If your pilot / squad leader tells you to stay in till you hit an objective, then stay in. That is the only exception
This brings up a good point too, because landing is exceptionally dangerous. I have to be so damn careful just to put the ship down, cuz if you tap the ground just a tiny bit too hard, you explode. And that really freakin sucks, especially when you're trying to stay stable against enemy fire.
I think landing gears that come out when you get close to ground would help immensely, if you land on someone with the gears out, it shunts them away from the ship, dealing like, 25%-40% dropsuit damage to them or something like that. We need to be able to land in a hurry, pick goons up, and bounce. It's very hard to do that right now, and dangerous.
Nicks and dings really need to be tuned back a bit too. |

Do LAV's now get damage if they run somebody over? Cause that is something I would like to see put in place.
Damage could be proportionate to the players shields/armor total. So if you have a weak LAV trying to run over a proto heavy... then the heavy might just survive and completely total the vehicle.
Maybe not that extreme, but LAV's should take some damage based on the type of player they run over. |

Might make the description CCP gave us 1/3 more believable rather then total lie :D |

I ran the same person over twice last night, and I too would like to see alittle damage caused from doing it. ( the second time I got said player he was just revived)
But the second time I hit a crate and insta-exploded. That seemed abit harsh to me Maybe taking me down to next to nothing or something like that would of been better. But I can understand alittle for this reason, simce we now have WP for repairing turned back on. |
