This is what i have deduced from the recent patch 90% of it is awesome 10% of it is a load of crap that has only one purpose, make you pay more money.
needing a UVT for chat channels is a terrible idea, you not going to make money off it at all if anything you will loose money because having to pay to chat will turn people off right off the hop.
for all it's worth i hight as well open skype on my laptop and chat to my corp mates with that rather then throw more money at ccp for a game that was intended to be free.
if your going to make us pay for chatting in a corp chat or any chat channels free is the way to go.

UVT is meant for Corp chat. You can still chat on squads and teams while in gameplay. You can still type. |

Still DLing the patch, so bear with me. In Codex a UVT was required for voice in chat channels, but not corp.
Are you saying we need a UVT in corp to voice chat now? |

You know,the funny thing about it is that when they first implemented the UVT,this is exactly how I thought that it was going to work.I guess that someone at CCP read my mind or something.Either way,it's complete BS and hopefully,they will see the backlash from it and do something about it. |

Working as intended, this is how they were supposed to work from day 1, having corp voice chat without a UVT was a bug.
FYI for all you whiners 'Red Federation' and 'Blue Republic' (two of the largest single corps in all of EVE with 3000+ members) get on just fine without using corp voice chat, and in EVE it's covered by the monthly sub - so it's basically free. |
