After a uncertain amount of time (I wasn't paying attention to time, though it was definitely more then two hours) I experienced a lag issue that progressively evolved from a small interference to a major, seconds delay interference. Restarting the PS3 console solved this problem. I haven't been able to reproduce the lag to the same extent but I still notice it from time to time. |

Next time it gets bad, you should probably check if the system is overheating. |

I have this same issue, it's FPS drop not lag though. Quitting and restarting the game seems to solve it. Maybe a memory leak? |

Sounds like the same exact problems I was having on Codex (constantly). The more I played, the worse things got, and had to restart frequently to get playable games.
Sounds like they haven't fixed that issue yet, which is truly a shame seeing as how game breaking it is.
I haven't yet played the new build, but will in a few hours. Hopefully this is just a rare occurrence for players and not a relapse. |

Lag as in players running in one spot, I you shoot them but it doesn't register? O.O I got that twice in a row about a half hour ago... >.> |

this new build is still on the same servers as before... the same memory leak is still there.
on the bright side, up until you start to get the framerate issues, the game runs MUCH smoother, fast load times, everything from the server-side gameplay standpoint Ive seen is improved.
My first game of the build I lasted 10 seconds and a hard freeze, but then no lag/framerate issues for the next 4 hours. The only explanation I have for lasting so long without the framerate drop is that we were going back and forth between ambush and skirmish.
Just a guess on that, but I havent experienced the framerate issues yet on chromosome |

I can confirm I'm experiencing this, too. The system is in open air in normal (+24C) room temperature; long Dust sessions cause effects that on PC would be from some background process eating up CPU and/or memory - framerate drops and movement of other characters becomes less smooth. Best this can seen in fast transitions like zooming in to sniper scope and back - the framerate looks something like 8-10 fps, not 30.
Of course while the zooming action makes the problem easiest to see, where it really _hurts_ is when trying to hit enemies; the varying amount of lag on weapon activation makes hitting moving enemies significantly harder.

Yes.. I have this as welll.. On a further note.. Im not sure if having PS3 slim.. has any effect on cooling.. but if you knew more about computers than me I would think this is a good hint..
tell me this. I have many high graphic intensive mp online games.. I can literally play them 24 hours straight with out hearing my fan.. (i mean this thing kicks on LOAD AS HELL) netflix games whatever.. but..
the second I turn on Dust.. Im talking shen the PSMove commercial thing comes on.. my fan kicks on immediately?.. every time.. As if the resolution or something was the problem? like what would make that happen only to this game..and happen immediately .. before its even done pas the intro screens? As if my PS3 knows its about to get pounded? lol
Tell me that.. and ill be satisfied.. |
