I guess Iceland doesn't have real guns for CCP to play with, but last time I ran with a rifle, the front sight was the one swaying, not the rear sight. C'mon guys, these are simple ideas you can't get right. over the last 5 months my enthusiasm for this game has gone from 1000% to about 65%. It's time you started under promising and over delivering, because at the current trend there will not be a game worth playing in 6 months.

If that is your biggest complaint then I'd say CCP is doing a pretty good job... |

Its called a parallax effect.
If the gun is always kept parallel to your line of sight, any side-to-side motion (again, still parallel and therefore still on target) will cause the near sight to appear to move more than the far sight.
Basically, you are used to the far sight moving more IRL because your hands are not steady. In a world where you can hold a gun perfectly parallel to your line of sight at all times, CCP's implementation is correct. |

+1 for actually getting how guns work in IRL and in game. To OP, dude.. you fail.![Shocked](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_shocked.png) |

Your explanation holds only if the entire rifle is moving horizontally as a unit.
In reality you hold the rear sight right up to your face and plant the butt of the stock in your shoulder which prevents the rear of the gun from shifting at all. What drifts is the barrel end of the gun, and it does that in an arc.
Thus you will see the front sight shifting about between the rear posts. |
