Supposedly its an Amarr Sniper Rifle.
People have been calling it an AR, but notice if you will the magazine setup. It faces inwards, which would make it difficult to reload in CQC combat so it resembles more of a Sniper Rifle, but I can't be sure

I wouldn't. the Amarr already have a long range weapon in play.
There is also the pseudo-science of the weapon itself. The scrambler is a laser induced plasma beam noted in the description of the item itself to be most effective at close ranges. I really doubt the rifle will be all that different in functionality than the pistol. |

eve weapon ranges go blaster < autocannon < pulse laser < beam laser < artillery < railguns
so dust will probably go
plasma weapons(ar/shotgun) < bullet weapons < beam laser < scrambler < artillery(mass driver) < railguns(sniper/forge)
The smg and hmg shoot bullets, but heavy and sidearm weapons are probably shorter ranged, look at sniper vs forge gun range. Gauss weapons will probably be between beam laser and artillery.
So, I'm going to guess the scrambler is longer ranged then other rifles but shorter then sniper, like a designated marksmen rifle more then a sniper. Pulling a few users away from sniper and a few from tac ar for a middle of the two type weapon. |

I hope you mean initially lol.. so sometime after the Chromosome launch .. maybe ..?
Is a new gun to big of a thing to be in a minor update?
oh well, I'm still happy that the mice sensitivity 'aiming' is probly fixed. Waited a long time for this fix.
EDIT: My thought was there's mini updates and major updates, codex and chromosome are major, and other things are minor / mini.. am i wrong? are the smaller updates just hotfixes..? I'm not sure. Just wondering If we'll have to wait till the next MAJOR update for these new weapons.. Thanks in advance for your info and help. |
