i had the idea out of frustration seeing pilots abuse the free LAVs to farm roadkill wp rather than develop as a player what i cam up with was the idea of replacing LAv bpo with an and atv similar to quads that trail riders use
then it hit me motherkitening Hoverbike that does not crush but allows use of sidearm weapon as a replacement for free atv
the last thing i want is when this game launches for some one to go in their first ever match and spend the entire time as road kill wicth can happen in the peak |

I like the idea of hover bike as the free default vehicle, current free lav could be bpo purchase. Upgraded hoverbikes for isk using same model could be easily added.
I suggest having the speed be based on suit type, with heavy moving same speed on bike as lav, 40m/s. Scouts could be maybe 50m with other suits in between.
Road kill could be reduced if it activated the inertial damper when hit. A kill would still happen if pushed into obstacle and crushed, or if dragged by vehicle for some distance. A damage over time for dragging would need to be added, unless already there and not noticed due to the speed of death. |

People do have the starter av fit. I don't support removing damage from impacts, just lowering it. As a side effect reducing impact damage to dropsuits would make room for bumper blade mods to return the damage to current for people that like the Carmageddon like playstyle. |

I definitely think that DUST needs a ground RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLE that can be fitted to move with stealth, and have increased sensor strength, removing the "fog of war" within a fairly large area around it. A hover bike would be great, it could act similar to a covert ops (probing) frigate, in which it is very fast, very hard to spot, has limited firepower, but can scan areas remotely from a distance and/or simply reveals a very large area around itself, and spotting all enemies within that area in line of sight (or even out of LOS with echo location). Alternatively, this vehicle should also be able to be fitted to hold limited armament, (anti inf/vehicles) in which it could harass. These armaments should be strong enough to kill an infantry out in the open fairly easily(aside from heavies), as any vehicle should be able to do, while anti vehicle weaponry should do a fair amount of damage as well. |

So, how about two slots for light turrets and call it a day, or go my hoverbike thread's way, which is fine as well. |
