SO... Haven't see many heavy snipers. Currently I rund an A type assault with a mix of shield extenders and profile dampeners and max of extra armor, with a nonohive that can rep armor as well.
There are a million different reasons you would chose one over another, just wanted to see what your experience has been.
**Note**
We all understand how much some players hate snipers. I can understand. However, just like other roles, snipers serve a purpose. There are good snipers and bad ones, blah blah blah. If you want to troll there are plenty of other posts out there.

I believe the main reason there aren't any heavy snipers is because they can't carry equipment. |

All snipers suck...
Now that I got that out of the way with heavy slow turning speed would be stupid with a sniper rifle. Heavies are best used with heavy weapons. In my opinion. |

Try a logi with 4 light damage mods a nano hive or two or three and a ishukone with a few skills in weaponry and proficiency. Deadly. |

Up until maybe last week I used a heavy sniper pretty regularly. The lack of equipment and the low slot count on the heavy suits makes it really only useful as a sniper in very specific conditions now. The only time it works well is if you are shooting from a depot for ammo and instant armor repair. Other than that I don't really use it anymore. The slow movement speed is really a problem if you go up against someone with a tactical sniper rifle and they can double tap you before you can move.
In general as suits and weapons have gotten better across the board the heavy sniper is really kind of crap now. The only time I really use it is in ambush on the 3 point map while camped on the depot at C. |

I actually saw a heavy sniper yesterday on Manus Peak just north of B,where I then proceeded to blow his head off with my AR. |

Another good reason is probably because heavies have such a large sig profile and high sig radius, but high scan profile and low scan radius

This is the main reason I haven't invested in heavies. The Logi sounds good though, have to look at those spreadsheets that were posted.

In eve I believe they said there was a heavy suit with an equipment slot and a light weapon slot instead of a heavy weapon slot. |
