Matchmaking is still being worked on. CCP intend for players to be put into better-balanced matches than we're seeing now. There will be PvE (co-op play) if you're still struggling against other humans. Passive SP should also help, since you can get a decent amount of SP for literally just creating an account then abandoning it for a while. |

It sounds like you're attempting to do cod run and gun solo play. This is a lot more realistic then that. Also, don't expect that bunny hop bs to work either. I try to move in groups , but if you happen to find yourself alone in front of one of these guys (because it happens) you don't even have the time to change direction to move laterally so it is quite difficult to use any sort of tactics(difficult to say impossible) If you "find yourself" in front of a guy with a Militia Shotgun, you often don't have time to react before going down either.
If you "find yourself" in the sights of a Militia Sniper Rifle and the shooter lines up a headshot, you usually don't even get time to scream "oh kitten!" before going down.
If you're running a stealth-fitted Advanced Scout suit, seeing a Militia AR aiming for you is just as scary as a Codewish against the Frontline Starter Fit in a new player's hands. |

Apart those cases : if you find yourself one-on-one with a guy that's holding an assault rifle , you shall stand at least a chance to fight and win even if you are a newbie If you're a totally new player, and another totally new player is in a position where their weapon of choice is better suited to the situation than your own, it's reasonable to expect the other guy to win.
If you're a totally new player, and you run into a high-level player with a straight-up better version of the same loadout you have, it's reasonable to expect the other guy to win.
If you're a totally new player, and you run into a high-level player running the same gear you have, but with all their SP invested into the loadout, it's reasonable to expect the other guy to win.
Sorry, but it is.
it's not JUST about being good at dodging or the typical idea of "gun game" in DUST. Usually, a player with cheap junk gear and good positioning on the battlefield will be able to take out that "elite" guy with Prototype EVERYTHING running around slaughtering the guys who don't know how to avoid him. |
