Some of the people who post here do nothing but make themselves sound idiotic. Literally every time they open their e-mouth kitten comes out. They might be trolling they might not. Regardless, they make themselves look stupid and anyone who stoops to their level are equally bad. I enjoy these forums when there is civilized, rational discussion about the game. Unfortunately this does not happen often. Let me give some of you advice that you desperately need...

While it is pretty clear that some posters are adolescent and generally illiterate, and I suspect these are the persons to whom you refer, I am of the considered opinion that, at least amongst adults, people who worry overmuch about swear words probably ought to spend less time worrying, and more time participating in the actions described in at least a couple of them. The beloved 's' word and 'f' word, in particular.
But, hey, kitten it, right? Not everyone shares my appreciation for the most colorful and fun words in the language. Hence, kittens.
Also, wow, that first sentence is a kittened-up run-on. My sincere apologies to all of my former English teachers. Also, too, every last kittened "kitten" in this kittening post was put the kitten there on purpose, and in fact typed as "kitten." Kitten! |

Without the very real possibility of a fat lip, or worse, being labelled as "one of those guys"; the internet allows people to release their inner tool.
Its probably quiet good for everyones sanity as a whole. The world is a fairly frustrating place.
You can either ignore it, or join in.
Asking everyone to grow up, or whatever, is possibly the worst thing you could do. |

Trick is to realize that no one really gives a kitten what you think. In any case no matter what you say someone will take issue. I just don't give a crap. But I also don't expect anyone to take me seriously. Or be nice. Hell were surrounded by Eve players who are bastards and FPS maniacs who are as bad.
My honest recommendation is a thick skin and not taking yourself too seriously.
Because no matter how awesome you are someone out there believes you are a moron.
