Gets run over/killed by heavy death taxi.
Respawn.
Death taxi drives near again....tosses AV grenade....sees kills.....smiles.
Waits with nanohive nearby for the death taxi to try it again.
Run me over once shame on me , run me over twice then its an AV grenade dud since you can bet I will be hunting you.
Or decides to use shiny forge gun or swarm launcher.......sees kills from proxy explosives......"death taxi"..............free swarm launcher kills.......smile. |

Nope I have tried almost everything too.
The solutions I have tried thus far:
-I have deleted and dled the game again
-I have created other chars besides this one and both get the same issue
-I recently upgraded my internet speed from 1.5 mbps to 10 mbps
-I used my wired headset instead of the wireless headset
-I removed all firewalls on my router and modem
-I opened up the specific ports mentioned in the dust support
-I have made two posts on the bugs forum and sent several emails to Dust Support who repond with "This is a known issue that we are working on"
My voice chat has always worked with MAG, Socom 4, BF3, Dead Nation, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and the Sonys voice chat feature (this was double checked with Doc a couple months back when I first started)
I am going to try to put my PS3 in the DMZ zone of my router sometimes this weekend and see what that does. If not that then I am going to put tomato on my WRT54GL router and see what happens there. |

Make sure PTT is off and voice chat is on then:
Check PS3 Accesory settings.
Theres a setting for testing your mic, selecting mic volume levels and:
Make sure that when you speak on the mic that its selected for INPUT and OUTPUT.

Sorry if I sounded harsh there but I am no noob when it comes to troubleshooting tech.....even built my own computer. I do think that this is probably an issue on dusts end and CCPs response has always been.......this is a known issue. So I am just making sure nothing i have is affecting it but at this time i have almost run out of options to test on my end. After I put the PS3 in the DMZ and that does not work and changed my firmware on my router......if that also does not work then I am forced to conclude this is only on CCPs side as there is nothing I have that could be stopping the voice chat connection.
I am praying that the new build corrects my issue......... |

I've said this before ... a long time ago ... I understand you've tried countless things to solve you comms problem, but here's my idea.
It was near the beginning of the beta but I had problems with comms, I forget exactly the symptoms but I heard nothing and couldn't be heard, not sure if I could see bubbles or even the option to 'Activate Voice' it was so long ago now.
I solved it in the XMB settings by changing from 'system default device' to the specific headset and comms have worked ever since. Not saying this will work for you, but if you haven't tried changing that, it could be worth testing in either configuration, default or specific device.
On a side note ... I too get the "Connection to Voice Chat failed...reconnecting" message every time I log in, but I also get a second message saying it has reconnected and as I said, comms work fine ... (other than the odd comms failing randomly bug which everyone seems to get this build).
If you have tried this then I hope it's solved in the next build for you. |

I used to get this when I tried to activate voice before the full corp list had loaded. Now I always wait till the list is up then join. Never had the error since.
Once I got the error I had to reboot to clear.

FYI, he is not trying to join a chat with an UVT, he is just trying to talk regularly in a ambush/skirmish match (just wanted to make sure that was clear). |

So Stryker you need to get on so you can hear my lovely voice again. I was able to fix the mic issue. Apparently the firmware on my router was not allowing voice chat for dust only?! Kinda weird but when i changed my firmware to tomato and put in the ports now it works perfectly. YAY! |

I had problems with my mic not working either. It would work with cod and bf3 but not dust. Make sure it's connected before launching dust... Worked for me. |
