I was thinking it would be nice to see heavy weapon variants of existing weapons. The HMG is heavy variant of the SMG, so it would be cool to see other variants.
A LMG could be like a Heavy AR, more damage slower ROF, large clip size, but be limited by lots of recoil. Incapable of accurate hip fire.
A heavy Mass driver could offer greater splash radius, smaller clip size.
Heavy Shotgun could be a AV weapon, suffers from more spread than light shotguns.
Heavy Sniper rifle, slightly more damage than light sniper, but capable to doing damage to vehicles.
Heavy Laser rifle AV weapon.
Heavy Pistol, not a sidearm would look like Hellboy's revolver.
Heavy swarms would be like a rocket pod no lock on.
Do you think any of these would be good Heavy weapons? |

I thought about these weapons for heavies before and I like the ideas

Single shot sniper rifle that has a signaficant increase to the weak points of vehicles but doesn't do much damage to the vehicle without hitting it's weak points.

Picture shows in salvage a "Light Assault Rifle" so we could be seeing a heavy version. But it could also be just naming it to differentiate it from other rifles. |

I would like the light machine gun name used for the Minmatar light weapon in between the smg and hmg.
Since the ar is renamed light ar, call the heavy slot ar a heavy assault rifle, or heavy battle rifle since a larger caliber ar is a battle rifle. Or microgun, the term used for a Gatling weapon that fire assault rifle sized ammo, mini-guns fire battle rifle ammo. |

I find it very uncreative to just make heavy versions of existing things. It adds nothing to the variety of weapon types in Dust. I would like the arc cannon described in Templar One; it fires 17k degree bolts of plasma.
Also, an LMG is by definition light. |

I would like more weapon types, like the awesome arc cannon. I would also like heavy versions of light weapons. Once we have arc cannon in heavy slot, I will hope for light version. I consider the sniper rifle to be the light forge gun for example. A light arc gun could be the amarr shot gun. |
