[PROBLEMS] 1: Sometimes when I spawn I have no idea where my squadmates are because they're out of the range of the minimap, and I need to find them. I may be looking for a specific squadmate by his or her names.
2: Sometimes I want to find the squad leader so I can follow, and need to know where he or she is specifically.
[SOLUTIONS] For 1: Much like lettered objectives (null cannons), have the direction, name, and distance of all squad members visible in the player's HUD. This way the player will be able to easily locate their squad, or the specific squad mate they are looking for. Names of squad members should be attached to their green dots and be instantly visible in the overhead maps also.
For 2: The squad leader's identification icon on the HUD should look different from the rest of the squad's icons; this will allow the squad leader to be instantly seen and easily followed by the rest of the squad. This squad leader icon should be visible on the overhead map also, and the minimap.
This is not a big issue, but I believe that the location of your squadmates should always be known, and your squad leader should always be instantly identified; these changes to the HUD would greatly help with this. Thank you for reading.

If having the whole player name is too much clutter, then they can be abbreviated. There could also be a numbers next to everyone's name on the squad list (coming SOON), and the numbers could represent each player. The numbers could be used in the location and distance indicators to signify symbolize each squad member since each squad member is numbered. This can also just replace the need for the squad list on the HUD if a little health bar and a way to indicate when a squad member dies, or when the squad member is in the process of respawning. |

I was just thinking though that even if the arrows were placed around the outside of the minimap pointing in the direction they are from you it would be a great help. This would also reduce hud clutter. I like the idea of little arrows pointing to squad mates. |

Thank you for reading. This is top priority in the same way as adding a system in the audio comm so that squad leaders can cross-chat with other leader specifically while still having their squad on audio. Much like MAG. Intra-team comms are at the moment pretty much inexistant. Regarding squad leader, he shoult get a specific marker indeed, but i still think he should also work as a constant objective. meaning any action done nearby would be rewarded by bonus WP. Everything to incentize player in moving as a squad. Even random players. I dont think those changes are that hard to make but they would add a lot to the game UI in term of teamplay.
Please make a thread about the squad leader being a constant objective so I can fave and like it. Regarding the squad leader to squad leader to squad leader communication (like MAG), I agree, though I'm not sure how it should be implemented; this thread may offer a solution, but feel free to make your own thread on the subject. |

Display squad locations like the markers around the side of the HUD. just add names (or abbreviations), distances, and icon for squad leader. |
