Looking for some Anti-Armor tips. Any suggestions on skills to train first? thanks!

Swarm Launchers are easy and cheapish to train and even militia SL take LAV's down easily. (Tanks are other thing though) Once put SP onto them they can be very formidable especially with damage mods.

Forge gun takes skill but that seems to be the go-to weapon when you got the SP. They work on infantry too.
AV grenades and Proximity mines also.

Forge guns are cool and lots of fun but bloody hard to use, it's like using a sniper rifle without a scope.
You can (and I often try to) fire across the battle field but due to how the way the crosshair need to aline up, unless the target stationary your not going to hit anything unless your able predict there travel root.

Unless you are fighting tanks, I would recommend to stick to AV nades and proximity mines. Carry a nanohive in your loadout and you will be fine. For now swarms is the way to go.

Try to engage a target with Swarms when they do not have easy cover to flee to, a good drvier, especially an LAV driver, will get their vehicle behind cover and leave you to watch your swarms blow up a family of space gophers or something.

Have a good firing position, or several if you need to shoot then move to keep snipers off your back.

You can lock on to, and blow up, some vehicles like LAVs while the RDV is making their delivery to the battle zone.

Do you mean anti-vehicle or anti armor tankbusting?

swarms are great vs lavs and dropships, but i rarely see them take out a tank. that seems the job of forge guns for now.

most tanks rely more on shields so swarms are less effective due to the fact that they only deal 70% damage to a vehicles shields. they can shred armor like nobody's business, but dropping a tough shield may be a problem.

Swarms are only good against dropships thanks to the massive knock effect they have which is going away next build (or lessened).

A decent dropship pilot will just outrun swarms making them completely pointless against them.

It all really depends on what you prefer to have. There are pros and cons of using either AV weapons (Excluding AV Grenades and (EMP Grenades). It was said earlier but I'll say it again: Forge Guns are meant more for vehicles that are primairly tanked with Shields as well as Dropships. However these are bulky and cause you to be slow due to the suit and have a charge thimg where you will have to sit in the open.

With Swarms you are able to lock on, fire two volleys, and forget about them. This can let you be much safer but they are painfully obvious to anyone watching their Area of Operations and will use the terrain to their advantage. They are also primarly used against armor-tanked vehicles. I don't think you really should use swarms against any dropship pilot (Advice from a Dropship Pilot himself) as it is fairly easy to fly fast enough to evade them while staying in your area of operations and supporting your forces. I've even just sat still and shrugged them off with my Myron. However there are those rare occasions where a swarm can tap that sweet spot that causes the dropship to be thrown around like a ragdoll but unless there is severe terrain and they are fairly low, they can recover from the incident.

 Cheers!

If you can hit a drop ship with a forge gun you mill make them unhappy. Range is a problem so get on a roof top, if you start getting shot up... jump
