this is a beta forum and the opinion must be voiced.

besides the harsh pub matches actually hinder the newbies ability to adapt.. how are you supposed to understand group dynamics if you cant even leave the spawn. there needs to be another way. a ground war on flatland with default suit builds so the new guys can get at least somewhat familiar with the squad system, mechanics etc. just dwarf the sp gain and turn off the monies. want money? off to the meat grinder. right now its just a 24/7 slaughter house. there needs to be more options.

And I must remind you, you were bad at some point too, the people on the top of the scoreboard are still probably learning the gripes of the game, and with no proper wiki or tutorial to help them choose the correct skills or dropsuits, they are pretty much clueless without a corporation to help. So, cut them some slack, everyone was a noob at some point.

Yea, coordinated squads of ppl attacking same objective in one-by-one terms(when guy in front die, he will be replaced immediately by the guy at the back - aka "lemming tactic") - sometimes I see whole team attacking like that objectives, why none of them put some uplinks, try to flank defenders, use optimal range of they weapons as advantage..

Getting revives and assists is not a reason to neg bomb a match and then get on the forums insulting your team for sucking. DUST features testers from all skill levels. What your thread should have said was "DUST is awesome because I can do well without getting 20 kills per match even when I'm not with the best players". Been trying logi / assault / sniper and I have been putting SP all over the place instead of running proto and going 20+/0. Trust me this doesn't make the game less fun. Ok it kinda sucks at times that even a gek gets me on me knees in like 3 shots, but that was the risk I took this build. Alot of peeps are experimenting now that they still can, after the last wipe that'll be over and you'll be heavily punished for sidetracking from a solid build. Put things in context... it's still a BETA, not everyone is trying to become topdog on the leaderboards. Also the lack of any beginners levels / matchmaking makes it harder and harder for the newcomers to really get ito the game now that protosuits are getting more and more frequent.

Now, I'm told people have 8mil SP. I've got 5.5mil. And I wasted a mil in lvl5 nades. I can't even compete with the players in my corp because they do more damage, have more health and just generally make me look/feel like a scrub.

The logies in our corp can top the leader boards with 0 kills, and 0 deaths at times, and that's without the repair WP. It's actually quite a surprise to see, because I usually focus on killing the enemy team, and maintaining map control. not bad Logies, not bad at all.

Kids that sit home all day, every day and play, will seem MUCH better than they actually are, thanks to huge SP and ISK pools. On the other hand, someone who's actually good, but rarely plays, will have their score drastically lowered thanks to low SP and ISK Factor in the fact that the matchmaking system doesn't work thanks to such a small pool of players, and you have the current game where people that suck are good, and people who are good, suck.

I even hope those militia/standard only maps come back. Although, i'm not sure if we will be seeing them anytime soon because of a low player count. Normally there seems to be just enough ppl to fill a couple matches. If we started breaking ppl up into groups with complex algorithms, then we may never see a full match or it could take 30 min for the right matchmaker composition to be found. Yep, i suck at fps's, i know... but wow do i get a laugh from listening to ppl whine and rage over team comms. It's just a game, relax.

Got a few kills in the dying minutes, captured some guns and refitting stuff on my way to the terminal and the match ended before I made it there. Came top of the team with 380 wp's. Shocking

If you are getting redlined and your sick of that you respawn in PROTO fit cost to you upwards of 350 thousand ISK and start killing with your DUVALL or try to slip around in a scout....you are trying to change the outcome....you are trying.They are not.You should be MVP.You're doing all the work. Keep up the good work.Its hard to make a hack by yourself...and get swarmed by the opposing team.So you went negative.I understand how that feels.Been there myself.You got the lions share of the money.The bragging rights at the end that say "At least I tried,what did you do?"
