I have 10 guys that play regularly but we can't play with more than 4 in a match. It would be nice if we could create a team instead of just a squad that way we can play a match together as a group. I know there are corp batles but we are all new players and dirt poor and way underequipped compared to corps like the imperfects. we would get destroyed. Just a thought...but then again then these elite corps with deep pockets could completely destroy all the random blues...

The deep pocket corps shouldn't be much of an issue once the matchmaking system is working correctly.

I have some reservations about this. I want you ppl to play as teams if you want, but an organized team will just destroy everyone in a public match. The public matches are where the ppl without mics or corp squads dwell. I'm hoping for a matchmaker that works well for the corp side and not on the pub side for you guys to play. |

I think the solution would be to just remove the price for corp battles, and allow regular SP and ISK gains in them. I find it stupid how the only way to fight with a full team of players you want is to be in a big corp with massive funding. |

No.
there will be a place for new players to play with out bullys like me to bash them. So even if you are new there is a limited amount of time you are given to learn as much as you can as fast as you can. After that if you want 10 players on a side it should be a corp battle. Why should you get to pub stomp with 10 on a side yet want to avoid other corps from doing the same? In reality this will make public matches very 1 sides and less competitve overall. Thats not something we want.

I agree about launching with large teams. It should be an option. It is good for players with a large number of friends, which is demographic that CCP should be concerned with. It is a big hassle to try and get 2 or 3 squads all into a match at once, as opposed to having that option readily available. The arguement that they will stomp in pub games is a fallacy. A huge part being left out is the skill of the group. Whether they are skilled or not has a bigger influence on the outcome, compared to number of squad members. Fps with very limited squad options don't have as long of a player retention, because who wants to jump through hoops to play with friends. |

A team focused game not allowing full team deployment is a failure imo.
Pubstomping will always exist, the answer is to make a apparatus to incentivize joining corps. Making an in game large snd public "corp marketplace" of sorts would help,
Any easy way to find, browse and join a corp will help this game in the long run.
DUST shouldn't be about protecting lone wolves/ pub players, but about making corporations appealing.

In my original post I did say that allowing large groups would definitely make for some unfair matches. However it could be a game mode of its own. instead of ambush with random players it could be Assualt with large teams enabled. There are no contracts required and the payout is small like ambush. That would make it so that anyone entering the battle would know they may vary well face a full team of one corporation. I suppose that when the matchmaking system works it will help filter out the unbalanced matches but still doesn't resolve larger squads.

Could be for lowsec and nullsec, and not highsec. |
