In Ambush there is a total amount of clones each side gets right? 80 I believe. You play through the game and just like a regular team death match and such. That's fine and all, but at the end of the game when all of the clones have been used up, there is typically 5 or more players on the field. I was wondering if anyone would be down with updating the Ambush game mode or just including a new one game mode. This is what I have thought up of (if anyone else hasn't yet).
This game mode/update would consist of: 1- Separate clone counts per player each having 20-25 available (or however the balance works out) 2- Time limit of 30 minutes. 3- Capture targets or acquire game changing Intel targets as secondary mission objectives worth a set amount of points and can only be captured once and used once (like a strike from space, if worth putting in) 4- Clone swaps with other team members. E.g.- getting low on your supply and someone is kicking butt and can spare a few clones? Then see if the clones are transferable. This is done by accessing the clone reserves and swapping over inside of a menu. Can take a few seconds longer and is more intuitive than holding down circle and waiting for a bar to fill up, but keeps the game interesting. Keeps the game feeling more immersive, but can also cause some good aggravation to both sides of the game. This is also limited by the set amount of clones that the person who is GÇ£lendingGÇ¥ the clones sets when asked. This feature can also be ignored so it isnGÇÖt causing disruption during the game. Like an opt in feature, but can later be instated when a user feels like they want to do it. Just an idea if anything. 5- When a player is wiped from the field because there are no clone reserves left for that player, they are booted out of the game and back to the merc quarters, or they have an option to spectate. MAYBE an opportunity to become a pilot for a dropship, but receive 1/4th points for any objectives or kills during that time. But as soon as the drop ship is gone, they are then out of the game. Again, this is just an idea and may or may not work. 6- Class specific objectives. Like, an anti-armor unit is required to bust through a wall to open up a new portion of the map with different objectives available in that map. 7- more ideas to come. This is just a short list of things I have come up with in the last week.
Let me know what you think, or maybe you have your own ideas?
