I hope this Is In the works. it would be so badass for Dust, and EVE players to bet on and watch matches In real time. This alone would set It apart from most other FPS's In general. I don't know about you guys but 1v1 matches with set meta levels would truly test a players skill on the battlefield, and the players could also form a certain fan base similar to that of wrestling or MMA.
Btw, wrestling Is for pussies, IMO of course.

That Is also a great Idea. Matches could have certain weapon restrictions agreed upon by the contestants, such as pistols, shotguns, snipers, etc. |

I'd say pistols, Nova knives, and Nova variant melee weapons only. Keep it interesting as opposed to watching two guys snipe each other.
So this would bring of E-Sport Only weapons, like maybe a Nova Sword and a legitimate shield that drains power from your suit so that you are at least mostly mortal.
This may be slightly off topic, but even Rome had Circus Maximus. LAV racing anyone?
Also, Mech on Mech combat would be interesting. |
