During the Maintenance i didn't have trouble playing the game at all, but i could not connect to the Forum which i suppose is normal with the way it is connected to my account and all that... but one thing made me come here and ask how do you intend to deal with PSN maintenance in the future i mean during the maintenance i clicked Get AUR accidentally at first which led me to an error, then disconnection followed by an attempt to reconnect automatically which led to an eternal spinning loading circle 5/5 times. The only way for me to re log was quit game... while i clearly understand this is still work in progress i would really like to see an improvement in disconnection due to PSN store or maintenance disconnections i don't see why a maintenance on PSN should kick me all the way out of the game and render me unable to reconnect just a thought is all. |

Agreed. And what about then it will be connected to EVE Online? And Dust accounts on PSN. I really hope in the future Dust will be fully disconnected from PSN |

well actually if you think about it, its totally obvious and makes tons of sense...if you cant connect to the playstation network, you cant log into your playstation account online. so there for you cant play any online games. Playstation network is like xbox live...if xbox live is down, then you cant play games online simple as that.
if playstation network is down for maintenence then that means its not currently connected to the internet so therefore you cannot connect to it cuz its not there...psn is required for online play....just as xbox live is...if its not there you cant play online games...when psn is down try and play CoD online....it wont let you. |

as Vexen said, although with PSN maintenance you can still play games online but the store was down, hence why you got kicked for trying to use the PS Store to buy AUR |

Actually this is a really important point. Most often, provided you sign in before maintenance starts, you can play through it. That's usually a good thing. For Dust? Well, persistence is the problem. Basically, if downtime is say... 13:00 - 22:00, how many undefended American timezone owned planets could EU/Asia players take? Because they wont be able to log in.
Unless there is a smarter solution, disconnect all Dusters during psn maintenance. |

A more difficult, but probably better option would be to have a "lockdown" period during - or surrounding - the maintenance. It would be something similar to EVE Online's "reinforcement timer" system, basically. For the duration of the downtime, player-controlled space would basically be immune to territory control shifts. You could still play, fight, earn ISK/SP, etc. but wouldn't be able to advance any invasions beyond a certain limited point. |

Wouldn't matter. Tranquility is set at the same downtime period. If the main server is down then no battles can take place. Though you were talking psn maintenance. Well if you have a multi-national almost all timezones corp alliance like some of the biggest then it wouldn't be an issue anyways. |

Say "it wouldn't matter" when Dusters can effect SOV and sell space ships (that they steal, during psn maintenance). |
