interesting. but xbox? hah that would be silly. if they go pc I'm sure it'll just be ps3 and pc
and whenever pressed at fanfest they only say "we won't rule out a PC version but not untill we're done with the ps3. So I figure around the ps4 launch. Or dust will only be on ps4 to help sell it. Since any CCP vet knows they love to make mmos with old/new graphics playing together. |

Is it really that much of a leap to imagine that an Unreal Engine game with minimal optimization for PS3 is going to see ports, outside of whatever exclusivity period Sony already has for it?
Here is my prediction: If the PS4 doesn't turn up fast enough to become lead platform for Dust within a couple of years, it'll not only see ports, but they'll become the preferred choice due to performance. |

Early on, the game was being worked on as a multi-platform release. Microsoft were trying to shaft CCP horribly, and for that reason (among others) the devs decided to move to PS3 exclusivity.
Basically, one of the core problems was that Microsoft would only allow the game to be cross-platform with PS3 on the condition that it ran on Microsoft servers, for which CCP would have to rent space. That means that EVE Online would have to also be moved to the MS servers, because Microsoft also refused to allow EVE Online's servers to have the kind of direct access to their servers that would be necessary for the cross-game elements. Also, I've heard rumours that Microsoft were putting pressure on CCP to scrap the PS3 version because they didn't want PS3s connecting to their servers. |

CCP doesnt seem to care about the french market. No PS3 packs, no interviews, no advertisement through spreading trailers or such... I did more on Dust 514 than the official playstation blog writer complete moron who can't even translate a devblog correctly.... 
So, amazon france not knowing anything about it ? Meh, no surprise there. |

Any ways it would have killed off the cross platform vibe so this is much better imo; think about it if PC gets dust they could be people spamming Orbital Strikes , quickswapping between EvE and DUST and much more. |

I noticed... I was actually looking for the ps3 - DUST packs (kb) after having seen them on Amazon.co.uk. Thats how I found the the pc/box versions.
It pretty much sucks that once again there is NO real marketing plot in France. On the other hand I can (as always) kinda understand it because, we gotta be honest, that would mean they have to translate everthing just to get to 15% playerbase... which is not always worthwile. (we all know 80% of the frenchies suck bigtime in english and won't even touch the game if not translated...)

I can actually do this more easily do this as it is now. I've been mining and beta testing at the same time. |
