This post is about the bars that come up when you aim at a hostile showing their health and names (sorry no beer) while this is great for scouting I find that this can actually get in the way quite often while sniping or using any gun that shows stats while ADS if there are to many hostiles in one spot to the point that it's actually disorienting and covers most of the hostile unit's bodies turning precision aiming into taking nothing but potshots.
I've made a few post for solutions for this such as removing the ability to see these bars and make them only visible to someone with the 'scout/targeting' mod active something I think should be put in anyway because it would (hopefully) make players less 'Leroy Jenkins' when they fight A.K.A more wary of the fights they are getting into and making scouts more useful for checking out how dangerous certain hostiles are by checking things like shield/armor strength what weapons/equipment they have and what mods in high/ low slots ect ,but no one seemed to like any of the ideas I've put forth.
Anyway I'm rambling so back to the point : this is something while not game breaking is a problem that I believe should be looked at as it makes it more difficult to focus on a target.
As always if you have anything to add or have had similar experiences don't hesitate to post down below my fellow dusters.

It sounds interesting. Kind of like the ship scanner in eve that not many use. But, works well if you can get in and scout. |

Actually, as a sniper, my problem is when they're standing next to a structure, like a supply depot thing. The name of the structure is overlapping where the enemy is crouching, so I can't see him accurately to shoot him. I know the bars only appear when you're looking at them directly, can this also apply to the names of structures too please? |

How about adjusting the placement of the bars such that they don't occupy the center aiming area? The display IS part of the suit and you'd think it would be designed to stay out of the way. |

pardon for the late reply this seems like a good idea and would make another role for the scout:seeing how much health hostile structures/turrets have left |

problem is that when guys crouch it would still block the guy behind them. if I have misunderstood your post feel free to correct me. |

Solution to BOTH problems:
With the current system, a target's scan profile determines not only the range at which they get marked on the HUD, but also the range at which their shield/armour bars appear. Keep this as it works now, EXCEPT when you have a target in your sights. In that case, EVERYONE but the target reverts to just the marker with no health bars. |

apologies for the late (as hell) reply this is a good idea and I will include this in an edited version of this thread. |

maybe the ability to toggle if bars are displayed or not?
you'd probably want some minimum level indicator to tell friend from foe, but if you wanted to turn off the extra detail shown, why not? |
