What IGÇÖm doing.
IGÇÖve started my own mission to see how well I do with my basic fit, over a small time period I will use 100 of my basic fit to test its viability in public matches. Through these tests I hope to see if itGÇÖs has a good survivalability and if it can make a good profit.
About me.
To be quite honest, IGÇÖm a complete scrub when it comes to FPS games and I rarely play on the console. I lack good vision in my right eye and this has always hindered me when playing games, so should you see me on the field, please approach from my left, itGÇÖll make it easier to kill you <3
Rules of the test: - Only use this fitting, no matter what. - Do not quit midgame, fight to the end (D/Cing is different though) - No vehicles can be called in apart from the basic LAV. - You may hack vehicles and use them if the situation calls for it - Always run solo - If you run into people youGÇÖre on Comms with, do not utilise it.
These rules will allow me to play solely as a Infantry, unless I get lucky and kill a guy just before he gets in a very good tank :D It will also let me experience what happens if a player doesnGÇÖt have any AV fittings, which will suck for gameplay but will give me a info on what itGÇÖs like. It also allows me to experience the game without having support.
Fit Suit: Assault Type-II Light Weapon: GEK-38 Assault Rifle Side Weapon: GÇÿToxinGÇÖ ICD-9 Submachine Gun Grenade: Flux Grenade Equipment: Nanohive High Module 1: Complex Shield Extender High Module 2: Complex Light Damage Modifier Low Module 1: Enhanced CPU Upgrade Low Module 2: Militia Armor Repair
Stats
CPU: 226/236 PG: 37/41 Shield: 335 HP Armor: 131 HP Shield Recharge Rate: 28.00 Armor Repair Rate: 2.00 Light Weapon Damage Modifier: 1.10 Heavy Weapon Damage Modifier: 1.00 Sidearm Weapon Damage Modifier: 1.00 Movement Speed: 5.10 m/s Sprint Speed: 7.14 m/s
Total Fits = 100 Cost Per Fit = 56,580 ISK Total Cost = 5,658,000 ISK

Match 1 GÇô Ambush Map: Manus Peaks Result: Victory Kills: 2 Deaths: 2 Warpoints: 325 Suits Lost: 2 ISK Gained: 110,868 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: -2,292 ISK
Note: Although I came in at the start of the match, the teams were heavily stacked in our favour, majority of kills I made were stolen too (325 Points, no hacks, 2 kills = 100, shouldGÇÖve gotten 9 more klls)
Match 2 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Victory Kills: 24 Deaths: 2 Warpoints: 1355 Suits Lost: 1 ISK Gained: 269,799 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: 213,219 ISK
Note: Logibros, if youGÇÖre going to pick someone up, please make sure the area is clear. Ended up being revGÇÖd by a Logibro who thought itGÇÖd be a good idea while he got shot at. You have to be sure the person youGÇÖre reviving will have a minimum of 5 seconds to be up and ready to fight once more.
Match 3 - Ambush Map: Skim Junction (Cannon variant) Result: Victory Kills: 8 Deaths: 1 Warpoints: 475 Suits Lost: 1 ISK Gained: 95,586 ISK Salvage Gained: 2x Core Locus Grenade (T=37,520 ISK) Profit/Loss: 76,526 ISK
Note: Came into a late game with around -+ enemy clones left, spawned in and got quickly taken out, thankfully the Spawn Gods were lovely enough to spawn me someone safe the second time.
Match 4 - Ambush Map: Skim Junction (Cannon Variant) Result: Victory Kills: 9 Deaths: 1 Warpoints: 450 Suits Lost: 1 ISK Gained: 117,174 ISK Salvage Gained: 5x IA5 Tactical Scambler Pistol (Estimated T: 44,000 ISK) Profit/Loss: 104,594 ISK
Note: Again, came into a late match. Being the confident dumbass I am, I rushed up the road only to have a Dropship come down behind me with 4 or so guys.. Now if only they had jumped out with the ship alive, the Pilot mightGÇÖve been happier. Received 5 IA5 pistols, seems the value on other advanced Pistols are 8,800 ISK so I will value the IA5 as the same.
Match 5 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Victory Kills: 15 Deaths: 1 Warpoints: 885 Suits Lost: 1 ISK Gained: 182,521 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: 125,941 ISK
Note: Nothing very interesting happened this match, though I must remember to stop getting cocky after not dying for a while, simple mistakes like rushing to kill a guy, jumping a rail and landing next to 3 other red dots is really not a good idea.
Match 6 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Loss Kills: 18 Deaths: 4 Warpoints: 1125 Suits Lost: 4 ISK Gained: 207,511 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: -18,809 ISK
Note: This match I met WTF.. Shotguns arenGÇÖt nice at all nüî GO AWAY WHAT THE FRENCH! Shotguns are awful weapons and after meeting the end of LaurentGÇÖs shotgun, IGÇÖm not going to go close to any of them. Met someone using a Duvolle and it seems Offensive > Defensive, got smashed and had to run as fast as my mechanical legs could carry me. Overall, not an awful game but not the best. Oh, and incase you havenGÇÖt counted, IGÇÖve hit the 90 Suit mark.
Match 7 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Loss Kills: 8 Deaths: 3 Warpoints: 450 Suits Lost: 3 ISK Gained: 135,720 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: -34,020 ISK
Note: Finding myself more and more vexxed by team members due to their inability to be remotely useful. When dealing with 2 players, the 3 blue dots behind me will turn tail and run leaving me to be smashed by enemy reinforcements, when there is no enemies left they will just run past me while IGÇÖm lying dead (Message displayed TRIAGE UNIT IN THE AREA, So I know youGÇÖre just being a ****) I mean they left Uplinks, ran straight past them..
Match 8 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Loss Kills: 10 Deaths: 2 Warpoints: 520 Suits Lost: 2 ISK Gained: 178,778 Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: 65,618
Note: Must take a lot more notice to my ammo metre, totally run out in the middle of a fight against 2 guys.. SMGs are a handy little thing. Also finally met a scrub that just drove around running people over, ****GÇÖs ridiculous, honestly not a fun experience being chased around by the guy with no AV nades til he smashes you into a wall. On a lighter note, met a guy called MW2 IS BETTER, he died, repeatedly to my GEK.
Match 9 - Ambush Map: Ashland Result: Victory Kills: 12 Deaths: 4 Warpoints: 700 Suits Lost: 4 ISK Gained: 181,909 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: -44,411 ISK
Note: A fun match, very close aswell resulting in both teams having 0 Clones each, despite Laurent dropping a Precision Strike (IGÇÖll get you, I promise) right on my head and getting the final kill, we still managed to be victorious. Notable squads I saw in that fight were Betamax and WTF on the enemies and Tritan as my allies, fun.
Match 10 - Ambush Map: Harvest Line Result: Loss Kills: 9 Deaths: 7 Warpoints: 500 Suits Lost: 7 ISK Gained: 166,993 ISK Salvage Gained: None Profit/Loss: -229,127
Note: Found myself not enjoying this match at all, low player count at the beginning and the enemy team running squads, found myself constantly outnumbered everytime I spawned in. Versing a heavy even at a long distance was futile as heGÇÖd hit take my Shields down stupidly fast at range, I thought HMGs were CQC? I guess I was wrong. Anyways, this was probably the worst match for me as I managed to get massive freezes are the worst points possible, ah well.

This is basically the fit everyone uses anyway, it frustrates me sniping from mid range to no end. Its why I have to bake tinned beans on top of hills... |

Fits like these are why people need to use laser rifles more, so people change their strategy and I can use mass drivers again! |

Heh, tbf I came up against a few Laser Rifles but I managed to kill them a lot faster than they killed me, I simply did more damage at range, and up close? They would be better switching to their sidearm xD |

They would be better switching to their sidearm xD The problem with laser rifles is that only assaults really use them.
Even though it's a light weapon, I've found that heavies are more effective using them. The rifle isn't friendly towards having to stop firing and go into cover. Heavies can afford to stand outside of cover and shoot constantly; assaults can't. |

Him with only 1 shield extender would make him an easy(er) kill for my mass driver. Yes, the MD does less damage to shields, but not that much.
To OP, are you a North American player? I'm thinking you might have faced that one heavy at long range on a EU server, maybe.
Also, 90% red dots in ambushes have no skills whatsoever. Even good weapons like laser rifles are non-factors in their hands. Just avoid the few good players and you pretty much got an easy 19/0 match. |
