Ever since they removed the laggy maps a few weeks back, it seems as though this map comes up more often. why?
as a shotgunner, this is the hardest map for me to run and gun in. I've given up my primary spec, and force myself to snipe on this map instead. the hit detection issues are less frustrating than running around with a shotgun on this map. |

Exactly....map blows and they put you on this one more than the other two combined. Can't force one to like it by playing it more. You actually dislike it, the more you play it. |

actually I find shotgunning on this map rather fun and easy all of the rocks make for good los blockers making flanking a breeze the steep slopes on the objectives make it hard for hostiles to see you as well if you're smart too.
the only thing I truly have to worry about is snipers/fattys and the random proto/advanced ARs downrange which I can easily avoid due to all the cover. |

You only need to look into the history of that OTHER map to see why. I'm talking about Line Harvest.
Originally, during the E3 build and maybe Precursor, Line Harvest was originally known as Plateau and was widely known back then as the most annoying map to play in. Everyone hated it. Full of glitches, lag, memory leaks, etc. But then over time as feedback came rolling in for CCP, the map was improved and now here it is in Codex known as Line Harvest. Vehicles are still effective but no longer dominating, equal balance cover and open space, perfect for all kinds of specialties.
I'm guessing CCP is wanting to do the same thing with Manus Peak. |
